Susano
I'm serious! Just think about it! Here we have a plucky inventor and his dog sidekick. Together they journey to the moon, nab a criminal mastermind, fight a marauding robot, and hunt down and capture a horrible werebeast. All perfect pulp story lines. And most of Wallace's inventions are fairly outlandish Rube Goldberg machines (of a sort) that involve a lot of pump, hydraulics, gears, and electricity. He's built a space ship, a super-vacuum, a mind-transference device, altered his car to operate in various environments, and even built a primitive exoskeleton! Tell me he's not a Pulp-Era inventor! Peregrine
Re: Wallace & Gromit: Pulp Heroes? Tell me he's not a Pulp-Era inventor! OK. "He's not a Pulp-Era inventor." Seriously, though, I'd have to agree with you. Good PER roll!

Basil
Re: Wallace & Gromit: Pulp Heroes? I'm serious! About Wallace and Gromit? Isn't that a mistake? Just think about it!I did. I'm still laughing. Here we have a plucky inventor and his dog sidekick.More of a luckless inventor and his canine guardian angel/rescuer. Together they journey to the moon' date=' nab a criminal mastermind, fight a marauding robot, and hunt down and capture a horrible werebeast.[/quote']Also rescue some sheep and a shopkeeper, foil a robbery, bust Gromit out of jail (on false charges), stop two marauding robots (Grand Day and Close Shave), and stop two criminal plots (Wrong Trousers and Close Shave). All perfect pulp story lines. And most of Wallace's inventions are fairly outlandish Rube Goldberg machines (of a sort) that involve a lot of pump' date=' hydraulics, gears, and electricity. He's built a space ship, a super-vacuum, a mind-transference device, altered his car to operate in various environments, and even built a primitive exoskeleton![/quote']Also a get-out-of-bed machine, a oatmeal cooker/server (OK, that one didn't work--but only because it had been damaged!), various communication devices, a motorcycle kick-starter, a sheep-shearing machine, and a method for cleaning upper-story windows. However, IIRC he bought the (Wrong) Trousers. Tell me he's not a Pulp-Era inventor!Well, there's more miniturization, and fewer dials, blinking lights, and knobs, than Pulp Era usually has, but I think basically you're right. But it's still a funny idea
Susano
Re: Wallace & Gromit: Pulp Heroes? More of a luckless inventor and his canine guardian angel/rescuer. Wallace does mean well, but like many mad inventors, he's lacking in complete common sense. Also a get-out-of-bed machine' date=' a oatmeal cooker/server (OK, that one didn't work--but only because it had been damaged!), various communication devices, a motorcycle kick-starter, a sheep-shearing machine, and a method for cleaning upper-story windows. However, IIRC he bought the (Wrong) Trousers.[/quote'] Yup. They were NASA surplus.

Basil
Re: Wallace & Gromit: Pulp Heroes? I think Wallace is the DNPC of Grommit Absolutely! I would've repped you, but apparantly I have to smear some more around before I can.
Archangel Gabri
Re: Wallace & Gromit: Pulp Heroes? I think Wallace is the DNPC of Grommit I completely agree. I had to explain to my daughter that Gromit is a SuperHero.
Basil
Re: Wallace & Gromit: Pulp Heroes? I completely agree. I had to explain to my daughter that Gromit is a SuperHero. No, Pulp Hero. Susano said so. BTW, I think Wallace has a Dependence on cheese.
Curufea
Re: Wallace & Gromit: Pulp Heroes? Also, probably a VPP- gadget pool. As he tends to pull out devices when he needs them - retconning them to "something I was fiddling with a while ago".
