Background/History: Jordan Freemont wanted to be two things, an NBA basketball player and a fireman. He played basketball at the University of Kentucky and while he wasn't drafted after his senior year in 2002, he was signed as a free agent by the Golden State Warriors. A bruising forward in college, he was simply too small for more than spot duty in the NBA. After two years being shuttled between the Warriors and the NBDL (National Basketball Development League), he decided to pursue his other lifelong dream and became a fireman. It was in this he had found his calling. Brave and humble, he had no trouble fitting in; his remendous physical attributes put him in rarified company. It was in this capacity he met Felicia Parks, a student, and volunteer firefighter herself. They have been dating for two years and Jordan has been contemplating a marriage proposal.

Jordan's selfless nature and his confidence is what attracted the Titan. An avatar of the earth, of power and strength, Titan called out and Jordan answered. Though being apart from Felicia has been tough (the Guardians are based near Seattle), Jordan has more than pulled his own weight. Felicia worries about him but understands he was chosen and that his work as Antaeus is as important as his work as a fireman was.

Personality/Motivation: Antaeus is a good hearted man with a quiet but evident confidence. He get's a thrill out of helping people; as well as matching his supernatural might against the forces of evil. His competative fire has never died and he sees his hero work as something of a game; not that he doesn't take it seriously, but that he wants to be the best. Jordan was raised by a very spiritual family and because of this he sees Alexander as a paladin and really looks up to the older man. He also is used to the Team dynamic and functions well with his fellow Guardians. He is learning as much as he can about his fellow heroes' powers so that he can better work with them. He gets along with all of them but Shiva, Ryuuko, and Silverhorn, with their supernatural beauty make him a bit uncomfortable.

Quote: "Oh, you wanna play, do you? Let's see what you got!"

"Sure thing, Alexander. I'm on it!"

"Let's go guys, we can't let this happen. We need to pull through!"

"I can't help it if y'all's beneath me.(laughter)"

Powers/Tactics: He's big, he's strong, he's a list of brick tricks a mile long. Antaeus is a tremendously strong being. Only Alexander, DoomTrain, Fenris, and The Brothers come close. He's very durable and when he's in his element (hand to hand combat) he can seem like an unstoppable force. He knows that his abilities can be destructive, so he generally seeks to be as restrained as possible when in populated areas.

Campaign Use: Brick brick brick brick brick! This guy's the whole wall.

Appearance: Jordan is a tall and muscular black man with short black hair and brown eyes. He wears comfortable clothes and often a UK sweatshirt that he took the sleeves off. As Antaeus, Jordan grows to approximately thirteen feet tall and weighs over 1000lbs of pure muscle. He has a hulking, muscular physique and his skin turns a dark, stoney gray. His eyes become solid green and glow slightly. His hair becomes a wild mane of red that hangs to his shoulders. He wears a broad belt and a colorful red and gold loin cloth over what could only be described as white lycra bikershorts of the gods. He wears bronze colored boots with thick black souls and bronce bands on his arms and wrists. He is barechested.

Re: Char: Antaeus (The Guardian Forces)

You know, I might just be easily confused, but the way it's written up I thought his STR was 100 in his normal sized form and 180 in his Titan form.

It appears he's got hardened ED and hardened damage resistance for 30 rED in the writup, but he's only got 20 ED total. Should he have 10 more ED or should those powers be reduced to the 20 pt level?

Also, since you are using Damage Resistance, I don't see why he would need Lack of Weakness for both Normal and Resistant Defenses. Lack of Weakness for Normal Defenses covers Damage Resistance. Damage Reduction is not affected by Find Weakness. Unless I'm missing something, the character has no other forms of Resistant Defense, like Armor or Force Field, so getting rid of that looks like a way to get some points back.

With an effective 3 DCV, are you sure his defenses are really up to snuff to play the Uber Brick role? I mean, this guy is gonna get hit by EVERYTHING and in a 700 pt game his defenses seem kinda low. What's the damage cap like? A 5 SPD opponent with a 20d6 Energy Blast is gonna take him down with fairly average rolls in just one turn.

Re: Char: Antaeus (The Guardian Forces)

Well, I grabbed most of the powers from the Ultimate Brick. I had frogotten his ED was 20. I'll update. He's on a team of about 12 so I am less concerned about him being put out easily. Especially when you consider he can be pumped up by Ryuuko fairly easily. I'll make him a little more capable with the points from his DR and Hardened ED.

And he's the UBER smash. The guy with the massive defense is Alexander. Bahamut has the best combination being second in STR and DEF. Odin closely behind him. Perhaps I should pump more into his Damage Reduction?
