Tech
I'm thinking of a power with has a radius or either 1 or 2 miles. However, for various reasons, I also want to know how many acres are in a 1 and/or 2 mile radius power. Can any of you math wizards give me the answers? Gary
Re: Area and acres Originally posted by Tech I'm thinking of a power with has a radius or either 1 or 2 miles. However, for various reasons, I also want to know how many acres are in a 1 and/or 2 mile radius power. Can any of you math wizards give me the answers? The formula for area for a circle is pi * r^2 Thus a 1 mile radius would be 3.14 square miles, and a 2 mile radius would be 12.57 square miles. One square mile is 640 acres, so the 1 mile radius would be 2011 acres, and the 2 mile radius would be 8042 acres.
Tech
Hey, that was quick! Thanks. I'm sure I could've found the equation eventually but I needed it quick. That, and I'm at work.
