I'm still looking for a good idea of my own and, for a while, I took my ideas from The West Wing because I liked the characters. I am now considering a very different approach, this.

 

The Vice President was forced to resign. Senator James Collingsworth, a moderate with a wife that's head nurse at GW's eye clinic and a married daughter that's a circus aerialist, was chosen in May of the campaign year.

 

Moments after he's sworn in, terrorists blow up the Capitol Building, killing everyone but the Collingsworths. That same evening, the head of the President's Secret Service detail finds out about vampires and Slayers the hard was, four vamps attack him and get dusted by one of the White House secretaries.

 

Attached is the latest version of the "Ross Brothers Circus" file.

Notes: This revamping will enable me to change some circus vehicles and bring in a small group of nuns. For those of you who don't know' date=' according to my Kelly Miller Circus routebooks, three nuns travel with them. Although I don't know what order they belong to, they are referred to as "Little Sisters".[/quote']

That was my thought, too, until I read about the Little Sisters of Jesus. I'll add the URL for the Wikipedia article on them asap.

I think you're right. From their website, see http://www.rc.net/org/littlesisters/Export7.htm that mentions circuses in the USA.

I've decided how the Secret Service finds out about vampires and Slayers.

 

Quite simply, a vamp that is attacking a Secret Service agent gets dusted by a "dark-skinned woman in motorcycle leathers who made sure I was okay before leaving".

 

Although the agent noted her putting her helmet on, then leaving on a motorcycle, he didn't notice the make or license number.
