Kharis2000
Located at: http://www.cimmay.us/grant.htm The document was originally written in 1909, and the page warns that it's probably more fiction than history, but since when has that stopped a pulp GM from getting an idea from anything? File is a PDF of about 800k in size.
Kharis2000
Re: Ethiopian Leopard Man Society History A further persual of the book places it firmly in the 'fiction' genre.
st barbara
Re: Ethiopian Leopard Man Society History I remember (back in the early 1960's) watching a programme called "High Adventure with Lowell Thomas" which featured cannibalistic "leopard men" in Africa somewhere. My T V reference book says that it was originally from the 1950's and was rerun in 1964 in the U S. It would be useful to incorporate it with legends of "wereleopards" that exist in parts of Africa to give a spernatural twist to an African adventure. FenrisUlf
Re: Ethiopian Leopard Man Society History I believe that the 'Leopard Men' were found more in Central Africa/the Congo. Though Ethiopia did supposedly have sorcerer-blacksmiths who could turn into hyenas.
Steve Long
Re: Ethiopian Leopard Man Society History If I ever get around to writing my Attack Of The Leopard Men adventure, I'll include a bibliography with the various sources I've dug up on the subject. I don't believe any are fictitious, but they are certainly bizarre.
FenrisUlf
Re: Ethiopian Leopard Man Society History Say, Mister Long, rather OT for Pulp, but I can't help but to think that a 'Leopard Man Cult' would work great with Joseph Otanga from Champions Worldwide. Maybe the temple was used for evil in the 30's as well as the 21st century?
