Cardinal
I don't have my book on me and I am trying to remember something. Can you activate and turn off a power in the same phase? The specific example would be someone turning on desolidification, 1/2 move, turn off desolidification, 1/2 phase attack. My memory is that you can turn a power on or off, but not both in a phase and that you cannot activate a power in the midst of the use of other powers (i.e. running, etc.). I would appreciate it if anyone could help me out. Thanks!
Thia Halmades
Re: Dumb Power Activation Question 5ER p103 - Even though activating a power is a zero phase action, a character may not both activate and deactivate a power in the same phase. Dust Raven
Re: Dumb Power Activation Question I thought this was going to be a question about a stupid power. I'm disappointed. In any case, no, you can't turn off a Power in the same Phase you turned it on and vice versa. Although I have a house rule that lets you Snap Shot around Powers, allowing you to turn off Desol (FW, etc.), attack, then turn it on again in the next Phase with the same restrictions of using the Snap Shot maneuver. I have no house rule that allows you to do something like the opposite for moving through walls then attacking. For that effect, I suggest Tunneling with Fills In (SFX if intangibility or whatever SFX is appropriate to the maneuver).
