They've already been tried and gotten to work on smaller dirigibles.[/quote'] They have also built a few that have hard aerodynamic lift cells that can go completely heavy, thereby not needing a mooring point beyond what is already needed for aircraft anyway. I am extremely frustrated because I cannot find anything on the one I read about and watched clips on a few years ago (2-3?). I do know they didn't call it a blimp or dirigible, so I need to come across the actual name I guess. But the prototype was a 10-20(?) passenger like a commuter airliner (turboprop type). The craft have verticale takeoff and speeds around 150-180(+?)MPH. I did find http://www.aerosml.com/ml866/index.html which looks remarkably like the craft I remember. But different and gives no mention on the site of the one I saw. But they have opened a manufacturing facility according to the site in California this year. I wish there was more solid info.
