dark-champions Catwoman in a four-color campaign

Catwoman started out as a regular cat burglar who pulled off spectacular burglaries.

According to the German police, she sounded like Marilyn Monroe, was between 5 foot 3 and 5 foot 6, wore a black windbreaker-style jacket over a turtleneck sweater and jeans, had a stocking mask under her ski mask, and ran along a thin wall as easily as a cat does.

"Any idea who the cat woman is?" a reporter asked.

"No," came the reply.

Since then, the media's called her Catwoman.

She left three signatures at her next burglary, a catnip mouse, a white business card with "Catwoman" in black script, and a second white business card with "Meow" in regular type. She continued evading the police and pulling burglaries, always leaving at least one signature behind.

It wasn't until her last burglary in England that she changed her garb. Quoting one museum guard, "As I struggled when she began to chloroform me, the glove that was holding the pad in place suddenly sprung claws. I gasped, then passed out."

Video monitors also showed her in a sleek costume, the mask of which had feline ears. Although tinted goggles covered her eyes, a closeup examination of the area around her mouth showed her to be Caucasian.

Since then, she's been active in the United States.

Re: dark-champions Catwoman in a four-color campaign

Okay, here's her background.

Catwoman's the daughter of a very wealthy British businessman and his socialite wife. Since they traveled constantly, and didn't want their daughter with them, they decided to leave her at home.

Realizing that all of the servants weren't needed, they called them together and explained their plans. One or two servants would remain live-in and care for the house and their daughter. The others would either be day workers or be laid off. Most quit. Only Teressa, one of the maids, stayed on. She became the daughter's guardian as well as the housekeeper.

Unknown to the family, Teressa was a semi-retired cat burglar. She trained her ward in her craft.
