That depends on whether the GM considers it a “defensive action.” I suspect that in most cases where the question would come up Aborting to Life Support would be a valid Action. 2. Again, that depends on whether the GM considers it a “defensive action,” but generally speaking, no. “Mitigating” incoming damage via an Aid isn’t really “defensive” in the sense contemplated by the Abort rules.
