Basil
http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/ap081001.html OK, so it's from the 1950's and (supposedly) post-Pulp, but it's just too cool not to bring to everyone's attention. Seriously, doesn't that picture look like something from a cheap-a** movie? Oh, and for more pulp-ish goodness, go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/V2_rocket#Unfulfilled_plans and read the second paragraph. Doesn't that just BEG for a gaming scenario?!? tkdguy
Re: Space --- ROCKETS! It's a cool picture. The rocket looks like something Flash Gordon and friends would ride.
Barton
Re: Space --- ROCKETS! Hundreds of V-2's were captured after WW2. Many were shipped to White Sands and used for experiments (the photo is a modified V2). The plans on the wiki page are the tip of the iceberg, plans for a New York City rocket, a "bomber" that actually flies in space, and dirty bombs were on the Nazi drawing boards as WW2 ended. The V-2 (called the A4 by the Germans) is a perfect example why all free nations had to fear the Nazis, they had very advanced technology. In my Pulp Games the Nazis are superscientists and always have fun deadly gadgets.
