6E - Positively Adjusting Power Frameworks

Hi Steve,

 

I thought I knew how this worked in 5E, but I want to make sure it hadn't changed in 6E and the text seems unclear (to me).

 

6E1, 139. When a character uses Aid or Absorption to boost a Multipower, both the pool and the slot have to be adjusted separately (barring Expanded Effect or whatnot). Just to clarify: that requires two separate uses of the Power, not one use with two separate die rolls, right? The description makes it sounds like the former, but the example almost makes it sound like the latter.

 

Assuming it's the former (and I haven't been doing it wrong all these years...), would it be legal to buy an Expanded Effect Adv defined as Slot + Framework Pool?

Yes, it's two separate uses; yes, you could buy Expanded Effect to cover both at once in full. You could also set up a ratio between the two as described in 6E1 137 and affect them both partially with one roll.
