feralucce
Just ordered Hero 6th (both books) While I intend to update my entire library eventually...I am curious... How backwards compatible are the old genre books?
IndianaJoe3
Re: compatibility question Pretty compatible. Point costs change, but the mechanics haven't changed much since 1e.
BobGreenwade
Re: compatibility question Compatible enough that some adaptation will be needed for most of it, but not so much that said adaptation will be difficult.
feralucce
Re: compatibility question Thank you for the input... I wouldn't even have invested in the 6th ed, but I read through some of the changes (in the posted documents) and (unfortunately for my wallet) I agreed with them... I have a LONG running star hero campaign. We moved and are starting new players in it, and half of them are on 6th... so I just wanted to make sure

feralucce
Re: compatibility question adaptation is acceptable... I was mainly concerned about it being like D&D ... 2 did not translate to 3/3.5 which didn't translate to 4...
KX_Mushashi
Re: compatibility question From what I have seen more along the lines of 3 to 3.5 though with a bit more changes. Somethings get removed, others get consolidated and renamed, as well as the cost changes others have already mentioned
feralucce
Re: compatibility question Awesome... I just don't have the roughly 500 to rebuy everything again... it makes me happy to hear all this
