Absorption as Defense

Hello again.

 

I wondered what happens if Absorption with "Defensive Absorption" or "Resistant defensive Absorption" can't absob any more damage ("point per Phase" or "Maximum Effect" reached):

1) Does it also stop working as a defense?

 

2) How does the Advanatge change/what would a limitation be worth that produces the oposite behavior? (When Yes is default, changing it to no. When No is default, changing it to Yes).

From the Rules FAQ:

 

Q: If a character uses the Defensive Absorption option, and has already Absorbed up to his maximum, does the defense still work?

 

A: No — if the character can’t Absorb (for whatever reason, including having reached his maximum), Defensive Absorption doesn’t provide any defense against attacks.
