djkester
Tomorrow i'm hosting the character creation party for my Fantasy Hero campaign. So far I have been preparing for this for a while. I have the following: 1. 2 Page Description of Hero System (to introduce) 2. A copy of the Basic book for people to find things. 3. A web-site for all the house rules and guidance for the campaign. 4. Customized xls character sheet from the one posted. 5. Hard Copy of the HS Core books. Anything else you guys think are helpful for people new to the system to help them with character design? Note: everyone in this group has a lot of experience with PBRPGs. teh bunneh
Re: Introducing New Players A list of races and their special abilities (templates). Same with "classes" if you're going to use those. Also, a spell list. Make sure you let your players know that these lists are descriptive rather than proscriptive -- they're designed to give ideas rather than limit creativity. But a lot of players really like having a list to start with to let them know what kind of campaign you want to run.
