Invisibility Fringe and Megascale Senses

Christopher

Question

I wonder how Megascale and Telescopic interact with the Fringe of a Invisibility Power:

a) If a Invisibile Character is in the Sensory area of a Megascale Sense, is the distance needed to detect the Fringe also Megascaled?

Example: Stealth Plane is built as "Invisibility to Radar, 0 END, Persistent, Bright Fringe" is in the viewarea of a "Radar, Megascaled (1m=1km)". Would it be detectable at 16 km (the "Fringe Range" is Megascaled) or still only 16m (Megascaloe has no effect)?

B) When a character is invisible to sight (normal 2m Fringe) and someone on 16m distance with Binoculars that Provide at least +2 Telescopic (offesting the 16m Range modifier, making it almost as if the Character would be "standing there") looks exactly in his direction - could his fringe be detected, or not?

Re: Invisibility Fringe and Megascale Senses

As a default rule, the answer to both questions is “no.” However, the GM can certainly make exceptions as necessary to simulate the way he wants things to work in his campaign. For example, in a “Top Gun” campaign where aerial dogfights in modern jetfighters occur in every scenario, the GM will probably want to have specific rules on how stealth technology and radar interact. (For that matter, he might decree that stealth tech be built with Change Environment rather than Invisibility, which resolves the issue without the need for any special rules.)
