Autofire & Area Effect

tiger

Question

Been playing the system pretty much from the beginning and this just never came up before.

Build a autofire atttack that is area effect cone. So what is the best way/proper way to decide how many hits a target takes in the area effect.

IE...Assuming the roll is made well enough by the DCV of a target hex that 2 hits should be allocated...each target in the area struck twice? Would it better to roll against each target in the AOE?

(I know your at a Con, lucky bugger) :)

You just figure out where the hits should land. If two or more of the Areas overlap (as in your example), then anyone in the overlap area takes one hit for each shot that overlaps him. If rolls are needed (as with Nonselective), then roll once per overlap to see if a given target is hit.
