Unified Power and Frameworks

Question

A few questions on how Unified Power works in a Framework.

1. Normally, when a Power in a VPP is hit with a Drain it affects only that one slot, not the Control or any other slots. If the VPP has Unified Powers as a Common Limitation, the Drain then presumably affect all slots, right? Does it also affect the Control and/or the Pool? If so, is the full effect of the Drain applied to the Control and teh Pool each, or is it spread across both proportionally?

1b. Same question, but with a Multipower: are all slots and/or the Reserve affected?

2. Normally to positively adjust a Power in a VPP, you have to affect all individual slots plus the Control and the Pool. With Unified Power, does Aid automatically increase all slots, the Control, and the Pool? It seems like that could make Unified Power an Advantage as well as a Limitation. Or would Expanded Effect still be required, and if so at what level?

2b. Same question, but with a Multipower?

Thanks,

1.  If a power with Unified Power is hit with a Drain, that effects all other powers “connected” to it via Unified Power, including Power Framework slots not currently in use. It’s up to the GM whether it also applies to the Framework’s reserve/Pool directly, but generally speaking if the character’s taken the Unified Power cost savings for the reserve/Pool in any way, it should.

2. No — the rules for Unified Power on 6E1 395 specifically state that it has no effect on positively Adjusting powers with that Limitation.
