Entangle with a side effect

Working on a creature that tends to swallow people whole. I decided to have an entangle represent being held in the creature's belly.

 

I thought of adding a side effect to the creature that it takes the same body damage as the entangle does when a character is breaking, this case emerging from the creature, out of the entangle.

 

Is this legal?

Sure. I built a similar power, Wraparound, on p. 318 of Champions Powers and used the Feedback Limitation, but Side Effects works too.

 

OTOH, it might be easier to use the "Swallowing Targets Whole" rules on HSB 40-41, and just adapt them a bit to get the exact effect you want.
