Re: Inhumans conversions
Thank you, Assault. I think I can do the conversions to my own satisfaction (with the exception of Black Bolt's voice, which I think is just sort of a plot device anyway). I have USPD I and G&G, as well as good documentation on how Marvel envisions them.
Was just hoping there was a place to look at finished versions.

Has anyone got a link to a site that has the Inhumans in the Hero System? Aside from Black Bolt, they ought to be easy to write.

Re: Hyperspeed Boost
Yes, characteristics and powers which all run off the same continuing fuel charge.
Continuing fuel charge is a great option for so many device-SFX abilities.

Re: 50 statessuper- villians
except the redcoats were britsOh, yes, but the prevailing politics in Mass are socialist. Flavor issues, I know. Massachusetts can be done better.

Re: 50 statessuper- villians
It's no dumber than other reasons that supervillains get together, I suppose. I took ten minutes to brainstorm.
Redcoat- Massachusetts- some sort of Communist. Often teams up with Ursa Major, the talking Communist bear from Alaska, to subvert some things and vandalize others. Or maybe he wants to "give back" Massachusetts to England?
Gladhander- Mississippi- steals from the rich and gives to the government, but keeps a cut for himself. This would be fine for any of the states I guess.
The Chicago Machine- Illinois- ditto. Probably a robot or powered armor.
Boss Tweed- New York- a Mafia themed crime boss who employs supervillains as well as thugs. Wait, it's been done
Bayounus- Lousiana. Amphibious brick.
Toxica- altered human supervillainess, result of toxic waste accident. Radiation powers.
Space Shifter- Washington state. Teleporter with bionics. Plans to steal the Space Needle about three times a year.
Conquest- Florida- Conquistador themed armor.
Maverick- Texas- subversive cowboy-themed villain
The Waste- DC- the power to disintigrate people and equipment by sucking them into extradimensional portals he creates.

Re: Back up battery
900 END? That seems excessive? Why would you ever need 900 END? Are all your powers bought with Increased END limitations?

Re: Magical cape
OK, went ahead and built it. Unfortunately, since the cape is an Automaton, the defensive powers (FF, FW) are prohibitively expensive, even though the cape cannot benefit from them.
Am I correct in assuming that the costs for defensive powers such as these are trebled since it's an automaton that takes no stun and does not bleed?

Re: Heroes from All Fifty States
I live in Massachusetts, near Rhode Island. The New England sector superheroes are all very good, in terms of character and their representative nature. Nutmegger (CT) is fun.
I'd like to see more supervillains. Perhaps some supervillains can represent states too?

Re: Magical cape
Must've all been inaccessible foci capes. No reason it has to be tied so tight!

I have an idea for a super with an automaton follower cape- something like Dr. Strange's cape or Dr. Octopus' mechanical arms. Could function independently, or together.
The construction I have is solid, and I am happy with the follower.
But, in addition, when the super is wearing the cape, he may use it to perform defensive actions; SFX: he commands it to protect him.
Specifically: armor, sight flash def, force wall, and missile defense.
Question: Should I build these as a multipower with the overall limitation "Only when in contact with cape/only when in possession of cape"? Which I think is a (-1/4). Or, should I make the cape a Summon in the same MP?
Or is there another more elegant way I have not thought of yet?
Note: The automaton follower cape does not have these powers for itself; these are powers inherent in the superhero for which he requires the cape to be near.

Re: The Super Darwin Awards
He catches the limo at a sublevel. Next to a tanker truck full of liquid hydrogen fuel.
He shoots.
The fusion bomb makes the limo go boom.
It also makes the fuel truck go boom.
The ensuing explosion overloads the field generator, which goes boom, adding the overload to the rest of the damage.
Whereupon the building collapsed on him.
Leaving one gene enhanced perfect killing machine slumbering nicely in his powered armor buried in several hundred tons of concrete and steel, having taken minimal Body but at around -300 GM's option land for Stun.
Maybe I'm playing wrong. But this seems like a perfectly reasonable use for a super-weapon, experimental force field generator, a tanker full of liquid hydrogen and a skyscraper. I mean, the PC lived and the NPCs were neutralized, after all. And think of all the construction jobs he just created!

Re: Like a Multiform... but not?
A thought experiment: Instead of totems, imagine that they are technological. Specifically, they are powered armor(s) in various configurations.
It resembles almost exactly one of the example powers from FREd.
It'll take a little bit of writing, but the build is pretty straightforward.
Best regards

Re: Crisis of Infinite Champions: 10 brave heroes
With great responsibility comes great power... which I think is truer than it's reverse. So I don't think it matters how many points your character is built on. If he is going, then he's got what it takes.
Can I do that? Ask to amend someone else's WWYCD? I kind of feel like I stepped where I shouldn't now. What do you think, Powerhouse?
