I use the models from the character template collection and then layer different fills onto the model, merging them with different styles... Color Burn being the one that seems to work best for keeping the detail beneath the solid fill.

Are you guys editing the texture maps yourselves?

I use the Hero Character Template for the pose.

I then modify it with Photoshop Elements.

I use the textures that exist in Photoshop Elements, but I do tweak the color gradient to get what I want.

Many useful tools in Photoshop Elements.

Just thought I would start a thread for anyone who wanted to post thier images of their characters. This is not a critique thread. I'm not an artist and the images I post are simply templates with a bunch of cut and paste with some shoestring and leather attached. (8^D)
