  1. Yep, I purchased a detect electrical signals, sense, transmit, rapid(x10000) @ 19 or less. this should work with systems that are CAPABLE of sending and receiving transmissions(networked machines, etc.) I know there is another thing I need to add. Just have to come up with it.
  2. Precisely, They are different. and I didn't want to have an arbitrary notion of non-AI Systems as having a 0 ego. Just doesn't seem right. There is an amount of complexity especially if you have good security or encryption. Instead of being arbitrary about thoses things also I thought of having a sense that can be descriminatory and transmit these impulses. Basically giving me the ability to have access to a computer(say through a network) to use my SKILLS on.(CP, Cryptography, SO and so on.) For game balance this would give the GM Fiat to affect what I get by skills and say what is beyond my reach. Plus, I don't affect AI's or Human Brains because they use "fuzzy logic" and hence are too complicated for me to affect at this time. When I get better at it(more xp) I could by Mental Powers to affect them.
  3. Hear, hear!!! I have a character(my namesake) that I have played for over 8 years. This was possible mainly because I used him strictly at cons. He was a very playable 60 STR leaping brick with a club(Missle deflection, not extra damage though I could strike with it). I did more with him in solving riddles than a majority of people I played with. It was a mixture of roleplaying, good use of KS:Library Use, and appropriate applications of chaotic stupidness thrown in. He was\is lots of fun and continues to be so. He is so much fun I am reluctant to award him xp's I get from cons. Maybe I should retire him but...
  4. Well then, I would think that would be an exception amongst armor types. for this I would use Damage reduction. It works equally against different levels of damage.I don't agree that there is nothing in the game to support it. Hence my mention of damage reduction. And yes, I know it is more expensive. However, doing something like this against characters should be. I do agree with what someone else mentioned. As a GM having all real world weapons use SE would change a few things but I think it might be more realistic. That is a possibility, but I wouldn't do it. I guess we can agree to disagree
  5. Double Knockback is fun... But a standard(at least I think so) is knocking someone straight up. Yes now that I think of it you get a loss of 2" for every 1" straight up. However, you would get that anyway without Double KB. Also ad the fact that you can do this without much damage to the surroundings can be rather nice. playing Pinball with characters can be dangerous.
  6. Does all of this affect Inanimate objects ? Remember, this power would not affect AI's . If all of this is still germain... How would you scale it? (no ego to match against)
  7. I have an electrically based MA and I wanted to make sure this was a good way to go about the creation of his powers. The question I have concerns one of his sphere's of influence. I wanted to allow him to communicate with computers directly. Possibly manipulating actual info on said systems. This does not include AI's, at least not yet. How would you do it. This communication doesn't need a physical interface, he just has to be near by. This would also possibly include other mundane devices as well. Believe it or not, I thought of this before I saw Revolutions. Thanks in advance.
  8. You have got to be joking Anyone, and I repeat ANYONE can do that with enough points. . To some, I believe, the challenge is to make the point cost possible for a regular character(notice, I didn't say "normal" character). *plink, plink* (just my two cents)
  9. A BIG suprise I don't know if anyone has posted about this but, I had a friend come up with a presence attack that does knockback and double knockback. Holy Crap was that horrible.
