Re: Musings on Random Musings
Yeah' date=' happened to me the other day. I was really pissed - I think I could have had those Adventurers' Clubs but I FORGOT at the last minute (I was at work).[/quote']I bid on those, too! But I was nowhere near the winning price. I haven't been to eBay in a long time, now I find myself just browsing, looking for something that interests me...

Re: Ignore Duplicate post
I tried to ignore it, but I already fed it once. Now it keeps following me around!

Re: Musings on Random Musings
Jimmie' date=' Janis, Stevie Ray, John, George, John P...The list is too damn long...[/quote']What about Elvis? Oh, that's right...
I've seen a couple short stories about "rock n roll heaven," including one horror story where it turned out to be Hell.
Here's a depressing thought: the list only gets longer from here.

Re: A Thread for Random Musings
I think I'll take some sleeping pills tonight.
I would like to get some uninterrupted sleep for once.

"Fat' date=' dumb, and stupid is no way to go through life, son." -- Dean Wermer[/quote']I thought it was "fat, drunk, and stupid"... Still not a way to go through life.

Re: Musings on Random Musings
What's with the ad homineim attacks against me? Huh' date=' you baby-killing jack-booted thug?[/quote']Excuse me, did I say Lincoln? Where did I say Lincoln? I defy you to conjure up a single post where I even implied Lincoln! You can't, it can't be done! You and your tree-hugging bleeding liver pot-heads can suck on that a while. :
I like this particular one, lots of nice loaded terms!
Heh, reminds me of a SNL commercial during Dole vs Clinton. "Bill Clinton: he's a child molester." The response from the Clinton camp was "Maybe so, but I'm still gonn beat you."

Ah' date=' go whine to someone who cares, lizard-man. Your sexual difficulties are your own problem, not mine![/quote']I knew it! You just can't let the Ross Perot thing die, can you?

Re: Musings on Random Musings
You know' date=' Lemming, no offense, but I'm tired of you jumping on every statement I make and assuming it has to do with pygmies. I think I was quite clear in my statement, and, yet, here you are bringing pygmies into it. Why is that? Do you love them? Do you want to go MARRY them? GAY MARRY them?[/quote']You know, I've already proven time and again that not all albinos are cannibals. Are you being obtuse on purpose? Why do you persist in this stereotype? Very few eat people, and even fewer enjoy it. You're just anti albino.

Re: Musings on Random Musings
You know, I'm wondering if people actually read posts. I'm trying to figure out how I was trying to get someone to be quiet on a subject when I said no such thing. This isn't the first time I've had a disagreement with someone and they've reacted to things I've never said or even implied or intended and got all indignant over a figment of their imagination.
Are people really that unstable that a disgreement causes hallucinations?
Are you calling me fat?

Re: Musings on Random Musings
My secretary is amused by the ring tone on my cell phone. She's gotten good at timing when to call me just as I'm entering someone's office for an audit. lolNow THAT is funny. I'd love to see that in action. Rep to your secretary!

Re: Musings on Random Musings
What really bothers me is how blindly partisan so many people are. I don't mind the political threads' date=' as is obvious, but the election season has made people worse than usual.[/quote']Well, we certainly know who you're voting for, then...don't we? Jesus your kind just makes me sick! You go to hell--you go to hell and you die!!
You mean, something like that?
(This is a joke, btw, for those that don't get that.)

Re: Musings on Random Musings
With our current head coch' date=' my 49ers couldn't win a game if Montana, Rice, Craig, and Jesus himself played on Sunday.[/quote']You mean they're not playing my Bucs this year?

Re: Musings on Random Musings
I'm renting my sig line.Yeah, I know. I was joking, as I glanced and thought it said "librarian" not "libertarian"...which it seems you did in reverse upon reading my post.

Re: A Thread for Random Musings
Some girls take hours to paint every perfect nail
Fragrant as flowers, all powdered and prim and pale.
But you are as wild as that wind-blown tree,
As dark and as deep as the midnight sea.
While they're busy dressing, you lie here, warm and bold.
Some girls you picture, some you hold.
Some girls take courses at all the best schools in France
Riding their horses and learning their modern dance.
They're clever and cultured and worldly wise.
But you see the world through a child's wide eyes.
Their dreams are grand ones, you want what's just in reach.
Some girls you learn from, some you teach.
You are not small talk or shiny cars
Or mirrors or French cologne.
You are the river, the moon, the stars.
You're no one else I've known.
Some girls take pleasure in buying a fine trousseau,
Counting each treasure and tying each tiny bow.
They fold up their futures with perfumed hands
While you face the future with no demands.
Some girls expect things others think nothing of.
Some girls you marry, some you love.
