  1. Re: Iron Age Champions campaigning One slight concern. If modern, gritty superheroics are Iron age, have we only got one more iteration - Stone - to go before we run out of genres?
  2. Re: SPD based on Active Cost It's more relevant for supers, but at the moment, GM convention or various "rules of X" limits SPD for characters, on the basis that (generally) you shouldnt be superstrong and superfast. Seems to be a cost adjustment to make it prohibitive is better than a GM fiat, and more in-line with the Hero philosophy of 'no absolutes'. Introducing a variable cost to SPD reflects that powerful characters get disproportionately more benefit from SPD without having a blanket limit. I understand the point about DEF and OFF = Effectiveness, but this is a prior step. Possibly E(DEF) and E(OFF) = Effectiveness, where E(OFF) = OFF x SPD.
  3. Have finally made the long trip from the Hero list to the Hero boards. Thought I'd throw up a thought I've been nurturing for a while. SPD shouldnt cost 10 pts, it should cost a variable amount based on the Highest Active Cost (HAC) of a power. Let's start with 8+ (HAC/10), and count points in characteristics as if they are powers. (although to make things easier, might want to think about not having SPD figured by DEX, otherwise you'll get yourself into a nice little mess)
