I love this, I just got back on at the company I used to work for. This will mena for me a major increase in availble monies to spend on things.

Re: WWYCD: Fans and cons
Dark Rider: Mystic Cowboy, with a public ID and is still a Texas Ranger. He'd go as he's Regular ID, as the Ranger.
Golden: Former LAPD officer that gained he's power on TV, so yeah he'd go, he loves being a public figure.
Bear Cat: Only if the Con had adult beverages and adult enterainment.

Re: Another human civilization may live inside Earth's hollows
You can always have that some places exist that have transdimensional openings into pocket universes. That way you can have them open and close in either random or scheduled patterns.
Either way you do it, always a great area of Plup to mine for idea's.

Re: The Grand List Of Overuse Science Fiction Cliches
Weirdly strange.......but what does it do except play to the masses.

Re: Another Brick in the Wall (Tell me about your Brick!)
I am playing a Superspeedster/Brick, Sentinel, in the Stellar Knights PBEM in my signature. He is a cosmic powered being that was a pro-golfer before he gained he's powers. He is something of a boyscout in he's out look, but he can be a bit violent. He is fun to play, and the first time that I've done in maybe 15 yrs.

Re: Where have all the Superheroes gone?
The idea of a Superhero in the modern world still works and I can see it working in the years to come. Superheroes are the modern mythology. Many of us still see our Heroes as real heroes, not villians that happen to now and then do something that appears to be good.
I don't have a probleam with a comic book Hero having peronal probleams. Being human and being a Superhero is not mutualy exclusive.

Re: A New Beginning
We had our first game in the New Beginning's Universe last night, 7/8/07. It was fun, the GM hasn't run very often but has a very warped and effective imagination, that helped with the game.
Looks like this is going to work. The C I did was Ghost Rider inspired C, but demonic in nature. If anyone wants I'll post the C here.

Re: A New Beginning
Actually one game world existed from 1982 thru 1995. It was remade, rebooted a few times, system it was run in altered a few times, but it always came back to HERO. It was also the first game-world that I had a C in and also GM'ed. Also it was the first Champion's game world my group created.
It even has had C's remade that have shown up in other Champions games. The game had that much effect on us as players. I find that rebuilding or remaking a game world has to have others in that shared world work together at the start and then thru the run to make it work. This group is one that will make it work.
-
In my gaming group we all came to a common understanding, after 7 Real Years, and almost 18 Game Years, we'd done almost all we could do with that world and it's characters. We will keep it alive in the PBEM: The New Defenders Universe in my sig.
Out of the five players in the group now, only three were with it for the total seven year run, two of us not as long, I had two and a half years, the last memeber of the group less than three month's.
So now we are restarting a new game world and each of the players will be GMing a different group in the shared world. The reason for this thread is this ...... How have others restarted after a long run of a game world?

Re: Hero Funding
Use the tech in the suit but in a very power downed form as new gadgets, licence them and collect the royalities. Make sure that you do alter the tech so it can'r be reverse engenered into you suit.....

Re: Traveller Hero... an update from the authors
So when will it be out? I so hope I get back with the company I was with a few years ago, then I can afford to get this.

Re: Musings on Random Musings
When one considers that in this day and age, Christmas presents, being either expensive, hard to find, or just a hassel, thinking about my Christmas shopping now........sounds good.
I work retail right now, hope to go back to working Tech Support or Customer service before the end of the year, that discount looks real good right now.

Re: What Kind of Heroes do you GM?
HEROES! They have to be team players, other than that most anything else goes.

Re: Humans are "Special"
Well look at it this way, humans may be special in that we are really good at killing each other, feeding a world that is overcrowded, plus we have great medical ability.
Forgot the story's name, but Earth was called Hospital Earth because we happened to be so good at medicine.

Re: Need a Name for a Temporal Prison

Re: The Things That I've Learned Facing Bricks
I am playing a brick right now that has a DEX 30, STR 75 and CON 30. If you just keep out of he's reach you can nit-pick him down......until he get's he's recovery. REC 27.......

Re: The Things That I've Learned Facing Bricks
What I learned when facing a brick of any kind, out think them and when you can team attack.

Re: World War II
The closest I can think of off-hand is Dany St-Pierre's Hero Pulp website. It's for 3rd or 4th Edition but converting isn't too hard. The best source is to find a copy of the Golden Age of Champions supplement (sadly OOP). It's for 4th edition Hero System' date=' but it's chock full of templates, equipment and information for running a campaign during during World War II.[/quote']Here have some REP for that. Passed the URL on to my friend.
-
I have a friend that is going to be starting a game set in the first years of the war, 1939-40. What he's looking for is a site that has info about WWII in Hero terms.
If you can please give me some URL's so I pass them on.
What he is looking for is Characters in HERO terms. Historical info. Package Deals, and Equipment.
He has the game mostly ready, just needs a bit of other info to start and more with for the champain.

Re: World War II
