  1. I have a friend that is going to be starting a game set in the first years of the war, 1939-40. What he's looking for is a site that has info about WWII in Hero terms.

If you can please give me some URL's so I pass them on.

  2. Re: Pulparize It!

    Spongebob Squarepants

Take a hubble guy, with a very square attitude. Make him a master of some unkown form of Martial Atrs.

Give him a strange girlfirend from Texas called Sandy, who is also a master of the same form of Martial arts.

A weird, not very bright friend, named Patrick that some how always does the right thing without knowing he has.

Not a friend but someone that is always around to be a friendly foil for the hero, Squidward.

A boss that is a very money hungry, crabby peronality, that sends him on all these find the treasure quests.

A small very intelligent man that controls a company called Plat Ton Co. He is always working to stop our hero and humilate the hero's boss.

  3. Re: Our Campaign's 25th Anniversary

We haven't got a game in the origional gameing universe, but it is part of our shared gaming history. I have been playing for 25+ in Champions and so you could say we are still playing the same champain.....but only in spirit.

  4. Re: Retrocausality Experiment

    H. Beam Piper used this idea in he's Paratime novels to rexplain precognition.

A person in the now has an event happen and that same person get's the mental image of that event in the past.

If you watched ST:TNG. The final show had the idea in it, but the causality was from three different points in the timeline, it created an anti-time wave.

This is a medical tricorder/healing unit I came up with for a C in a semi-Galatic Champion's game. All you need to do to make it into a standard tricorder is to add more detects and remove the medical functions.

  6. Re: Superheroes as firemen rather than cops?

I had a hero that was a 'Healer' that was all he did. He had the golden hour to heal those critical wounds, but side effect, he took part of the damage and then had to use he's own regen to heal that damage. He couldn't cure diease's, or regrow limbs. I almost forgot he couldn't do anything while he healed and it cost extra end to do it.

Now he did have high defences, damage reduction, and tons of Life Support, so he could take tons of damage and still be standing after the fight.

He wasn't a Super-Hero he was a EMT that was assigned to Super fights and also any action that would require him to be on site. He was trained as a firefighter, rescue diver, field surgon.

    He was called Lifeline.

  7. Re: WWYCS: "Why Shouldn't I Kill Him?"

Bearcat: [sane Wolverine-homage], "Kid, I'll kill in the heat of a fight but not after, as much as you know he's evil," lighting he's cigar, "you are not going to kill him with me here, you try and if I have to I'll kill you if that is the only way I can stop you."

Sentinel: [Cosmic Brick], "I don think you're going to do that, if you try you'd better kill me first."

Crossfire; [mystic techno-ninja], finds weakness, then KO with stun only attack. Doesn't say a thing.

Flame: [sunfire/Human Torch homage]. "Not going to happen, you kill him, I take you in for murder."

Snowfall: [female Iceman homage]. "You are a Hero, act like one. We don't kill. You kill him that makes you no better than him."

Electric Blue: [KOS-MOS homage]. Point's a small pistol at him, "you do that and I shoot you, this won't kill you but I can promise it will hurt, and I'll keep shooting you with this till you go down, then I send you to the police, and then I will testify against you."

Night Warrior: [Dare Devil/Spiderman homage]. Looks at the person, "I can't let you do that, if you want to try then go thru me."

  8. Re: Best superhero titles of the 70's

Legion of Superheroes, JLA, Brave and Bold, Avengers, Captain America, Iron Man, Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, X-Men and New Mutants.

I was a teen during the later part of the '70s, but I will say this, at the time Make Mine Legion was my fav saying. I loved the Legion of that time, after it was revamped a number of times ..... not so much.

  9. Re: Cap is dead!!!!

What you have in the death of Captian America is the personal feelings of the PTB's at Marvel, it shows American ideals, those that Captain America held. This hatred is seen in the CW stories and the killing of Captain America.

  10. Re: Cap is dead!!!!

I think that is wasn't comics that outgrew anyone. I think that those in power at Marvel/DC has failed to hold true to the history of the Heroes in each universe.

Yes a Hero has to change to have a place in the 'real' world, but as others have said, those Heroes have to remain true to the past of that Hero. Iron Man that I've seen talked about isn't Tony Stark, but a twisted parody of the Tony Stark that the idots in power want him to be.

Captain America had changed, he had adapted to the world of the 21st Century, but unCW's Cap wasn't the same character. The editors and writers forgot, no not forgot, ran away from the past of these Heroes. Captain America, or any of the main Heroes that have been shown so out of character is due to the editors hating the Heroic Traditions of the company, heck even the Heroic Traditions of this country.

  11. Re: Cap is dead!!!!

The thing with CW and everything with it is this, the people doing it hate Heroes and the traditional. I mean you go and warp the C's personalities beyond anything that can be recoginized......and all for the dollar.

  12. Re: Cap is dead!!!!

    @#^%$*&^^%$#^(*^$@)*&%$&!!!!!!!!

I hate this, Cap was the real American. He was the Hero of the ages in Marvel, now he's gone.

This bunch of nutcases that are running Marvel and DC are freaking jokes. I mean what the heck do the share holders not do what is the right thing and tell the so-called Powers That Be at Marvel to get people that love Comics and Heroes.

I have had a Cap homage C; Major Victory, and I loved he's holding to the ideals of a by-gone age. Cap to me was the soul of Marvel, now I am sure that Marvel has no soul only hatred of the ideals of what it means to be a Hero, in comics or IRL.
