  1. Re: Superheroic Planets

Planet America: Once a barren world devoid of strategic importance, this bit of rock became the site of a massive military colony, which used a top secret serum to give its members extreme physical and tactical prowess. The world itself was also changed, becoming a strategic and logistic masterpiece. However, this base was created to fight in a terrible war. Near the end of that war, after saving its civilization countless times, the enemy located the base and employed a doomsday weapon, crystalizing not only the planet but the entire system in a spacial anomaly of slow time so severe that even light could not escape.

Centuries passed. The system and the base were forgotten.

Another league of worlds, each with inhabitants of great power, formed and began scouting for new members. It was a pure fluke when a scouting party found the slow time field and the tiny world located therin. Even after all that time, the field was difficult to dispel, but dispelled it was. Generals from that world now lead the league.

You owe me a screen cleaning!

Edge City - Back In Town

    Me, GM
: Mrs Smith expires from her long illness and multiple high-speed vehicle pursuits.

    Col. Lancaster OOC
: She is survived by her daughter and several kippers. The family ask that donations of plankton be made to the local aquarium.

    '

Arrgh. I did read survived by several Kidnappers.

Serves me right to read at this time with my eyes barely open.

  3. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group...

Well not directly from play but it was my gaming Group:

We were lazing around after character creation and the TV was running.

Suddenly the TV Trailer for the new Twilight Movie starts.

He (I do not know his name but he is the Vampire Protagonist) dramatically : "You will see me tonight for the last time!"

Everybody on the Table: "Thank Goddess! Good Riddance." (more or less, translated from German.)

(No. We are not Twilight Fans. Why do you ask ?)

  4. Re: WWII Dark Reich Hero

German soldiers in the 1939 Blitzkrieg of Poland? That has so much potential for great storytelling! You can explore the disillusionment of your characters as the Nationalist fervor builds with early victories' date=' then slowly fades away in the face of paranoia, defeat, and a seemingly endless war. The glory of victory in Paris can be stripped away with a tour in the horrors of Russia, only to return to fight a long, bitter defense in the face of the Western Offensives. All the while, the madness and evil that was so well concealed in Berlin during the 30s is slowly stripped bare until it affects everyone and everything the Reich touches. A campaign I would think that is definitely not for kids.[/quote']

    Pretty unlikely.

After Poland it is to early for the disillusion to start setting in. I think late 41- early42 is the time that realization sets in.

@ blackfalcon hope the Pulp books are some help. For some reason I always liked the time line in the GURPS Pulp book more then the one in the Hero Book.

  5. Re: WWII Dark Reich Hero

blackfalcon what books do you have ?

Do you use 5th Edition or the new 6 th Edition. (ok the difference seems minimal), there is a lot of stuff lying around that you can use.

In the 5th edition pulp is a lot of the Weapon Data you were asking for and also a lot of NPCs you could use as examples.

Edit: I see you have sixth Edition.

  6. Re: Interested in a Alternate Timeline?

type it in and let google translate it

    Lord Ghee

If I wanted the results to be interesting or funny I might do that.

Some Game Company's did it. The results were hilarious. I have the feeling they sometimes do it translating Sci Fi Novellas on the quick here. As a Example on the English side:

DP 9s Bundesplatzwaffe (translated back into english Federal Bang Weapon) which should have said Bundesraumwaffe (Fereral Space Weapon).

(Platz is also Plaza but I used the more funny translation ok ?)

The Game was Jovian Chronicles it was a Source book about Martian Colonists.

  7. Re: MordSith

PS. Perhaps this thread would be best suited in the "Fantasy HERO" section given that Mord Sith and the SoT series are solidly Fantasy and not really comic book genre.

    I thought the same.

  8. Re: MordSith

Kahlan is normal. Only when she uses her ability on someone is she not normal. Actually, the person she uses the ability on becomes not normal.

    There's Shota. But she's a witch.

What is normal on being unable to have (loving) sexual intercourse, because having that would turn the person she is doing this with into her slave ?

  9. Re: MordSith

What is this confession ability anyway?

    Major Mental Transform ?

    About the MordSith:

I only know the TV Series.

Sheesh the Author seems to have Issues.

Take the Confessors and the Mord Sith, what was he thinking?

  10. Re: The Question (Rene Montoya/ DC)

If I would be building her as a "super" I am sure I would find some way for the Gas/Fog, but as a DC Character I consider it impossible.

(And I could find a way for the COM with more the 75pts, sigh......)

As for having build her in 5th, I assume it will take a while until the 6th finds it way into my piece of the woods. (Especially given the fact that my money is tight.)

Especially since not many people associate Rene with the current Question.

As for a Gun. I have seen Rene using a Nunchaku and a Tonfa ( I think) as the Question but not a Gun.

She can get these easily as Equipment.

  12. Re: The Question (Rene Montoya/ DC)

    Sorry ?

    The Lesbian Cop is 0pts.

The known Homosexual is the 10pts.

I am unsure. I think the discrimination factor in our current society is pretty high.

The Gun is no problem. She is a 75 pt. Character so she gets Equipment.

Any Idea for a good 5 pt Disad. ?
