  1. Re: Sersi for HERO

Thank you all, you're very helpfuul (as I knew you'd be).

It occurs to me what I really want to do is model a "generic" Eternal, as a template for new Eternals in general. With that research I've done plus what you all have helped me with, I ought to be able to do that.

  2. Re: Sersi for HERO

Yeah, I collected the Avengers on and off for years, and never once saw her use her powers in a specific, Sersi-like way, so I didn't have any clue about that. Even the Wiki page on her was pretty vague.

  3. Re: Amerca's Best Comics, Tom Strong, Promethea, Etc

There is no one better at turning the medium of mainstream comics on its ear than Alan Moore. If you read just one writer, ever, ever, it had better be him. Although not Silver Agey in the same way, check out Top 10. NYPD Blue meets the Legion of Super-Heroes, with great art to boot.

  4. Re: Sick of Wolverine

Is anybody getting sick of Wolverine' date=' he seems to be in a lot of comics recently and starting to find him boring.[/quote']

This post would have been topical at any point in time going back to about 1984.

  5. Re: CHAR: Iron Man

He has had some physical training from Cap A, so don't forget to add that in. I'm not sure how you are going to handle all his suits of armor. Just sticking with his newest?

That's a Multiform with a (-1/2) Only Changes In Lab

  6. Re: House Rule: Banning Multipowers & Elemental Controls?

Actually, even among the characters you name, few of them really demand a power framework- and the GM hasn't yet banned VPPs, has he? Or did I miss that one? Many of those characters can be built with a limited VPP more efficiently than with an EC or Multipower- and the rest can be built fairly well with a VPP or in certain cases, without a framework entirely.

Again though, without power frameworks, you're looking at very straightforward characters, many of whom will be straight-up hand to handers or superskill chars.

  7. Re: Two-Headed Man?

Thank you to both, Austin and Freaky.

I'd also ideally want this guy to be able to perform two simple actions simultaneously, so carry on two conversations, or whatever. How should I build this?

  8. Re: Two-Headed Man?

That's a great question! I think this character would be affected differently by mental powers, since either one of the brains can control the body. But I don't know what the remifications are. I wonder if I should scrap the Duplication idea and build the second head as an advanced A.I.?

  9. Re: Silver Age Villains?

Anyhow' date=' they're nice folk when you can get a few drinks in 'em, just a little strange. Gotta admit that given their low rate of killin' compared to their Iron Age cousins (they'll still kidnap and deathtrap you on a dime, but for some reason, things usually work out in the end), I really prefer their company.[/quote']

    Repped!!

Don't forget, you don't score points with the other villains by killing the good guys- you score them by deathtrapping, then monologuing them.
