  1. Re: best way?

Mojo Jojo and Him were arguing who was more powerful. Princess flies up and says, "I have the greatest power of all: cold hard CASH." Mojo Jojo and Him had to agree.

Anything you buy at the store have the limitations OAF, Independent, Fragil, ect... Just use the limitations to their full effect.

    example 2

    HDCJ_223_rot01.jpg

Example 2 requires Shape Shift vs. Touch. In a low lighting situation it is possible that he might visually confuse someone who is only noticing the outline of the shape.

Ok, say Plasticman here wants to intercept some legal documents from Matt Murdock(Daredevil).

Mr. Murdock is blind so he doesn't notice the different coloration. He notices the mailbox doesn't smell like a mailbox, but let's just say Mr. Murdock assumes someone is mailing a package of bad cologne which broke. When he touches the mailbox, because Plasticman has apparently bought Shapeshift vs Touch, he feels a cold metal box. (Does Plasticman have the ability to feel like a cold metal box?) What does Daredevil's radar sense see if Plasticman has changed physical shape, but didn't purchase Shapeshift vs Radar Sense.

  3. Re: Rules to ignore, or replace

A magically intelligent forcewall that can extend tendrils to block projectiles trying to bypass it.

A vehicle that is completely encased in armor.

Or maybe a structure is built beyond the usual 3 dimensions.

Just because YOU can't think of an example where a power/advantage combo makes sense doesn't mean somebody out there won't.

Let's say a brick wall is hardened by default. Does it make sense for magic tendrils to reach out of every brick wall to stop my boomerang?

If you are inside a vehicle (windows rolled up, and the top up if it's a convertable) it should protect you from my boomerang whether it's hardened or not.

Ok, for powers designed with Indirect as limited Desolid, hardened defences stoping them makes sense. But how do you define throwing a ball over a hardened Force Wall (that does not have sfx that would include magic tendrils), bouncing it off a wall on the other side, and hitting your opponent? Do I buy a million levels of Indirect to represent real world physics?

And, on a separate note, if I Shapeshift, with Mental Sense only, into a chair, do I look like a human twisted into the shape of a chair?

  4. Re: Rules to ignore, or replace

Actually you'd not change shape at all' date=' you'd change texture. If someone touched you, you would [i']feel[/i] like a giraffe or a tree or a bunch of goo, but still look like you did to begin with. And it would cost a lot to do so.

So yeah, vs touch only changes what people can sense with touch and no other senses. Sight changes what people can see, but you'd still feel, taste, smell, sound the same.

The power is just poorly designed.

So I Shapeshift (with the touch group only) into a chair. A blind man walks up looking for somewhere to sit, bumps into the illusion of me. And just as he starts to rest his weight on the chair, falls to the floor.

    Very useful.

  5. How do you apply limitations to Naked Advantages that apply to the entire power including the Naked Advantage and not just the Naked Advantage?

For instance: Running and a Naked Advantage, Usable As Flight, with limitations Only In Contact With A Surface, Limited Maneuverability, Stall Speed, and x2 Increased Endurance.

Added use but at a cost.

  6. Re: Weight a minute

Well, first off you have THE WEIGHT. That just is not useful in Hero in 95% of situations: it is far more of a hindrance than a help, so that is probably worth points as some sort of limitation or at least a disadvantage. You only have to make up 1 point.

Teleport UAA, Telekinesis, Bricks that have a habit of throwing their opponents,...

If it's useful 5% of the time and you can turn it off when it's not, it's an advantage. If you don't want to weigh 6400kg don't get DI and go with your build.

I'd like to shut off about 20lbs myself.
