Re: Ben 10 They have been taping season 3 since February '06, so there are 39 episodes paid for so far. The Cartoon Network site says Max used to be in the Army - one can surmise some sort of Special Ops. And there are little hints that other members of the family know more than they are letting on to the youngest generation. About the crystal formation that blew out the tires of the getaway vehicle - wouldn't that be based off the shield ability the other d-head alien demonstrated in Hunted? At the time I thought Diamondhead had tunneled underground and was sticking up a hand (sounds stupid now) but perhaps he can grow a crystal line out from his body. Kind of like a spider plant with its offspring.
  3. Re: Superheroes and Religion That's a cool and somewhat funny site. It's fair to estimate what religion a fictional character is based on his/her philosophy - someone who believes in a God that hammers evildoers would lead a tense life but have no problem hammering others. An atheist would be under no such pressure - just behave morally (for the sake of goodness?) and that behavior might be difficult to distinguish from one who sincerely believed in a loving, caring God. I agree that Superman is of the Protestant stripe - I think they had him seeking advice from Catholic priests mainly because of visuals: the priests are easier to distinguish by dress and the churches tend to be more ornate. Protestant ministers wear ordinary clothes, and unless toting a massive bible, aren't obviously religious. And, in a pinch, hopefully all priests/ministers are trained so well that they can give sound moral advice and comfort when called upon. The villains...heh. Most should not be atheists, or if they were, would only claim to be. Where's the fun in being bad if there's no one to be bad to? They might be of the attitude, "If there's a God, he can jolly well show himself. Where was he when (thing that ruined my life) happened? And in the meantime, I'm going to destroy the city! Up yours, God!" A genuine atheist would not be so het up.

Re: Ben 10 (rereading stats) huh... Ben will too hit girls. Just not if he wildly outclasses them, as he would then be the bully and that would set up a tragic cognitive disconnect... The Cartoon Network superhero universe...er, hasn't been born yet. With Sam Register gone, there may be a problem. I was going off the information in this January 06 Wizard interview. However, Sam stepped down since that was written.

Re: Ben 10 That's because we're all watching the tapes, over and over... I mean, Oh? Really? do tell! although, one caveat: they are all user-submitted, and occasionally the mod lets an error creep in. It's irritating. Are you going to rate the villains as well? RE: Crossovers - In an interview, one of the CN people mentioned that Ben 10 was going to be in the CN universe (newly forming) - that there was the Marvel universe, the DC universe, and now, the CN universe. (hmm. ) I hope that person with the vision wasn't one of the ones who just left.

Re: Ben 10 I found the skin-opening trick more disturbing than the tentacles (they could always have shot out of his mouth, as a horror cliche). He is like something gross wrapped up in Glad Press'n Seal. If that's original, I'm impressed. Grandpa Max fought pretty hard in the episodes "Lucky Girl" and the one available online, "A Small Matter." He is one tough bugger. He subdues a dog with a tap to its noggin - canine acupressure? Maybe his stats should go up

Re: Ben 10 Hello! This is my first post on this site. I am not a gamer per se but I like Ben 10 and have been following this particular thread. I don't know why I find it fascinating, but it is! So, had to voice some appreciation. Thank you! Can't wait to see what Bloodstone does with Ghostfreak's Beetlejuice-style tentacle display.
