Re: Horry County Hudson City - Campaign Log
And who, we wonder, is trying to frame our heroes?

Re: Horry County Hudson City - Campaign Log
Good update. Here's hoping that your loner is a good RPer, not someone so caught up in the lone-wolf thing it'll mess up your group dynamic.

Re: Horry County Hudson City - Campaign Log
Ah, the wealthy benefactor steps forth and a team is forged. Thanks for keeping us up to date.

Re: Hilarious article about vigilantism!
I bought some powdered water, but I didn't know what to add...

Re: Horry County Hudson City - Campaign Log
And it sounds as if an ongoing campaign has been established. Well done!

Re: WWYCD: Magic Fishnets?
Scion: Can't imagine how to retrofit fishnets into his powered armor.
Thump: As amusing as the thought of a redneck brick wearing a Cabela's cap, flannel shirt, and fishnets (with the ubiquitous dip in his lip) is, not gonna happen.
Redeemer: What's a little costume remake for that much more power?

Bwahahahaha! Love it! Especially the disclaimer.

Re: Horry County Hudson City - Campaign Log
And now, time for the fun adventure where they try to find black-market medical care... Always a fun one in any DC campaign.

Re: Adventure with Pre-Gens
Don't know if you have a four-color preference, but the best Hero adventure ever written is "Hudson City Blues" for Dark Champions and comes with a good set of pregens.

Re: Royalty Character
Of course it could be quite a complication if the team is a global traveling one, as every hostile act on foreign soil could be considered an act of war...
Certainly has many comic book roots as cited above. Plus Namor as King of Atlantis, of course, while he was a Defender.

Re: Ashes - campaign idea (my players stay out)
Sounds intriguing. Especially with Vulcan's caveat that the players get some warning. Repped!

Re: Horry County Hudson City - Campaign Log
Looks like a great game. Your players must love you. Rep for sharing!

Re: Do I need DC for DC:TAS
I have DC:TAS and HC:TUA and think my bases are pretty well covered. Of course, I have the old edition of DC, so that may be why. I think DC:TAS is a solid book that only references some of the NPCs from DC.

Re: Your FIRST Super Hero Character
Well, I'd love to have a character as original as many here, but the first time I created a character was the day a friend (Thank you, Matt!) introduced me to Champions in, probably, 1983. And that character could be none other than a Captain America riff. Steve Rogers was the man. And then they killed him. Bastards.

Re: Your character's pet peeve(s)
Scion: The fact that heroes working together are so inefficient (y'know, with the introductory fight and obligatory penis-length comparisons).
Thump: damnyankees

Re: What comic book villains would make cool heroes, and vice versa?
>> Punisherhere's one: Black Cat
oh wait she already prowls both sides of the fence.
Oh, wow, do I want to see the comic with her playin' both sides of the fence...

Re: Campaign Start - Character Questionairre
As I recall, Hudson City Blues had some interesting similar questionnaires for players. Especially appropriate for a DC campaign, I'd think.

Re: Romantic Complications
The Bat Family are the exemplars but I see most supers as uber-jocks' date=' and anyone who's spent time around athletes knows that they either are essense-hoarding puritans or people who look at sex as a warm-up exercise. Since mainstream comics have to more or less stay PG-13, they aren't going to come right out and list every partner everyone has had so forgive me a little extrapolation.[/quote']You must spread rep around... Had to quote this for emphasis. Excellent point.

Re: What is your favourite Superhero adventure/storyline?
Wow, memories...
Uhm, let's see. Defenders: Six Fingered Hand made me start collecting comics. X-Men: God Loves, Man Kills made sure I wouldn't stop. Watchmen. Batman: Prodigal. Pretty much every issue of the Teen Titans with Wolfman/Perez. Pretty much every issue of Nightwing. Pretty much everything Devin Grayson or Ed Brubaker write.

Re: What Other Dark Champions Resources Would You Recommend?
The best Hero system adventure ever published. Buy it. Buy it now. Even if you never run it, it's worth the price just to read it.
