Re: The cranky thread
Called the loan company today. Got the amount I thought I had to pay. Had to call back several times to get all the information I needed. Got the money together, sent it off and was told it would take 2 hours to clear. 2 hours later I call back, to see if it cleared and I can go pick up my car (and pay the repo company) only to find out that either I heard wrong or they misheard me when I repeated it back, or both, and I still have money I owe to them.
Oh well. Another trip tomorrow. Did I mention I can't go to work until I get my car back as my work ID is in my car?

Re: The cranky thread
It happened to me' date=' too. Financially speaking, sometimes it's a kick-you-when-you're-down world, and just about the only thing you can do is be thankful that there's someone, [i']anyone[/i], willing to help you get back up. This is hardly your own fault: medical expenses are one of the leading causes (maybe the #1 cause) of financial hardships in the US. Please don't listen to any of those blame-the-victim idiots who insist that you "should have avoided" this situation.Oh, I know part of the problem is my fault. Just not completely mine. I had to get it off my chest last night or I would have kept spiralling down. And that is not a pretty place.

Re: The cranky thread
This is difficult for me to type. I don't share my problems easily.
I don't want to be like my oldest sister.
She's having trouble and is about to (or already has) lost her house. She's borrowed several thousand dollars to help from my mom. I've tried not to be like her. But, after having surgery last fall, the medical bills are eating most of my money and I got behind on bills.
And today I had my car repossessed. I'm not sure what it will take to get it out. I'm thinking between $1500 and $2000. And the only place I have to go to is my mom. I HATE having to borrow from her, but I have no choice if I'm going to get my car back so I can work.
My sister got to the cliff edge of over her head debt and charged right off. I hit that point and turned to stay along the edge. Apparently I got to close and fell off.

Hmmm, and at about 2:15, is that the Doctor Who theme I hear entwined in the song?

Mind you, I really like the one that has only twelve....EDIT: Gotta love the exploding aardvarks.
This song doesn't need lyrics to speak to you. And they are Boar Hogs.

Re: "Neat" Pictures
Resublimated ThiotimolineI read the book of his early short stories. He describes how he wrote the first to practice his doctorial disertation. The story came out a week before his orals. He was so nervous until at the end of his orals, one of the professors asked him about the Thermodynamic properties of Thiotimoline. At that point he knew he had passed.

I like the color and the lines on #2 the best. I like the lines on #3 but agree it needs a bit more color.
