Noticed something in the Amazing spiderman book.. there's a moment where webhead gets dizzy..then he starts acting immature (even more then normal)

Maybe Wolvie acting like a idiot towards cap and spiderman aren't just bad writing but a plot line....

I think he wants too. I know in at least one comic he stated he didn't like living at the Avengers tower, in a human torch/spiderman cross over he refers to the avenger as people he works with and the Fantastic four as his friends.

There was an episode of Static Shock that guest-starred Batman.

Static: Where's Robin?

Batman: He's with the Titans.

Static:Who?

Batman: You'll meet them someday.

 

Static Shock was in modern continuity with Batman/Superman-style art, so that Robin was Tim.

a bit off topic: I hate hate hate hate that they keep dragging Static Shock into the JLU shows.....

I like the series, too, but I didn't take that scene the same way. I viewed it more along the lines that this is a different world and Cap's way might not be the best way anymore. Not that I'd pick Wolvie to represent the new mentality, myself, but I think it's their way of saying they might need to get their hands dirty sometimes - Cap won't, Wolvie will. Might be a perception thing on my part, but there ya go.

 

Either that or they're saying that Wolvie is more of an iconic character than Cap now, and that he sells more books. But that could just be me.

 

I, too, am happy to see a very cool Jessica Drew back in action, by the way.

 

As much as I actually like Bendis (I know, boo hiss), I agree. JMS is doin' a fantastic job.

Wolvie is in.. 3 different xmen teams.. and the new avengers all at the same time. I think its just 'wovie is hot we want him on our team to sell comics.....'

I like wolvie don't get me wrong..but I realy DON'T like the personality they are giving him in New Avengers... He's.. well ... a prick.. bigger one then normal. One comic he blasts Cap America for being 'full of it' and suggests he uses his outfit to free load, next he's telling spiderman he doesn't like him??

Love to see Spiderwoman and Luke Cage back in action - its about time someone decided to pick up Spiderman as a team member he's only been swinging around that city for how long?

Anyhoo... And this is really too coincidental.... The theme of this year's ZARCON is LOKI, God of mischief... Now I ask you, how could I pass up linking the mask to Loki??? Well, I couldn't. So, I did.

 

I might be incorrect, someone please correct me if I am, but I believe the original Dark Horse comics of The Mask did connect him/it (The mask) with Loki.

Whyne-Down Transit Service: We can get you to the scene now at reasonable prices unles it costs us the vehicle. Our drivers tend to be competent unles someone challenges it, then they can do nothing. About the only thing that the driver is good for is information, but do not ask any question that will help the scenerio along.

As for his construct, I think they should make it so he can use his club with his martial arts, but other than that, not bad.

 

Both characters are picked on more than they deserve to be IMO.

NightHawk can't use his club with his martial arts? I never noticed that..

She's not a mutant... but one of Spiderwoman's (The original) powers was pheromon based. She attracted males and made females intensly dislike her.

 

Marvel has been keeping a fairly strong grip on thier movies.. so I have a feeling they might put thier foot down if it looks like the new director will screw things up to bad.

Not sure if he did. I know Satan showed up in marvel's Witches mini-series to have a chat with his daughter santana (who Doc Strange recruited after she returned from the dead - annoying thing they didn't explain how she showed back up.. and seemed to ignore the fact she died saving Doctor Stranges soul....)

I thought as a villain the Scarecrow was rather lame. Definitely a one-trick pony; get around his gimmick, and he's basically a wimp with no combat ability whatsoever. Of course I haven't read any comics featuring him, so maybe he's supposed to be that way.

 

Actualy as far as I have ever been able to tell, that pretty much sums up Scarecrow perfectly. Every time Batman has faced him in the comics it works pretty much like it did in the film. Batman gets hit with the fear, gets over it,then beats Scarecrow into the ground.

They need to rework his character a bit in the comic.. like they did with the Riddler.

I have an program that generates Danger Rooms based upon the tables in Champions III.

 

We use the for a change of pace game when we don't have a specific adventure ready. Lots of fun, the players almost never win.

Danger Rooms:

All the rage in the late to early 90's, and a staple of any good Xpeople comic. They were so popular that (way back) in champions 3 there was a 'random' system for running them 'solo'.

Now.. what place if any do you use them for? Do your heroes even have one in the base or are they 'a relic of time gone past' If so how did they 'buy it' if at all and what use does it actualy get in your game?

I tend to use the backgrounds of the characters to determine if they get a 'free' base or not. If one or more of the characters has Wealth (especialy at 10 or 15 points) then I will give them a free 'basic' base. The more points spent on wealth the better that basic base.

Mainly because I always figured that if the guy is rich...he/she should be able to use his 'money' to buy things like that.

Here's a favorite of mine: Spiderman's wallcrawling

He has.. what little hairs/hooks that allow him to hold onto walls. These hooks/suction cups work through his cloths but apparently not affecting the cloth itself after all he never has trouble taking them off. Also if they are capable of goign through the cloth...aren't they long enough to be visible.

Originaly it was a city on Krypton that was 'stolen' by brainiac some time before the planet went boom (at that time Brainiac was collecting samples from doomed worlds, had been for quiet some time) and later on was rescued by superman..but he never figured out who to 'regrow' it to regular size.

Now.. post crisis I have no idea.. I am figuring something simular through.

Starblaze

 

STARBLAZE GOES WILD!!

Due to some bouts with mental stress and pressures in school and at home,

the strain of being a perfect big sister causes Starblaze to lose her cool and her marbles as a genetic defect in her graymatter causes her to slowly go insane over the years. This madness caused her to transform her overprotectiveness into an obsession with keeping in the past and keeping her sister in her childhood.

But when Dreamstar decides to learn how to be a teenager,she decides to use a villian's hypnotic weapon to regress her back to the way she was before the accident[ for which she incorrectly feels responsible].

 

Unfourtunately the PCs and Dreamy noticed that the weapon,suposedly long drained of power was found with a full battery pack and a techno upgrade.

Confronting her one night, they caught her in a trap,only to be attacked by a very berserk Starblaze.

Now it's up to the PCs to stop her before she hurts herself and anyone else with her berserker rage.

But can they do it? Can they,even with the help of Dreamstar and her father,

stop someone who can channel the powers of the cosmos from going on a beserk rampage in MED CITY?

 

TOUGH LOVE,HARD THERAPY

 

After thwarting Starblaze's rampage by subduing her , the PCs decide to examine her to determine what caused her to go insane. On exmination however the PCS were shocked to find drugs in her body,PCP,LSD Crack,Ecstacy and other junk drugs in her blood stream in amounts that would have killed a herd of elephants 20 times over. And yet her Q'rrymm powered metabolism had kept her from feeling the full effects of the overdose. Now the question remains, who did it to her and why? But another question in their minds is what wiil happen if she goes berserk and does something irresponsible like reveal her identity and worst still reveal theirs as well?

The only way to deal with her insanity is to start some hard theraphy with some Tough Love thrown in. But will it work or will it fail and the PCs wind up with a throroughly insane teamamte on thier hands?

 

 

DATASWIPE

CYBERSNITCH!!

Somebody's leaking details of every available student in both the regular and

Special classes and is signing his name as Blackmail on the internet.

Every dirty and not so dirty secret of certain people is being leaked to the press and certain villian groups in other schools. Now this hacker is probing the CHS Mainframe for every dirty secret of the PCs including their secret identities! Desperste,they call on thier resident hacker buster DataSwipe,to outhack and zap the hacker before he gets in too deep and finds the secret of CHS. But can even Dataswipe,whose gift is the power of cyberpsi be able to track down someone who can dodge detection and is also good at covering his tracks?

 

AI LOVE YOU!

 

An AI [Artificial Intelligence] Program in PRIMUS' defense system suddenly goes wacko thanks to some extra electricity from a thunderstorm and begins taking over all the weapons systems starting with the vehicles and mobile battle tanks. DataSwipe is called in and using a Viral spike program extracts the glitch,forcing it to go back to normal.

The glitch however follows john home where its insinuates itself into his computer,communicator and everything else that's electronic. It's also gained a part of the AI's sentinence and begins to [horror of horrors!!] fall in love with him and begins to eliminate its rivals, starting with his girlfriend Dreamstar.

Now DataSwipe has to find a way to pull the plug on this overamourous computer before someone[namely Dreamy] gets hurt as a result of its misguided jealousy.

 

SEEDS OF REBELLION

The PCS notice the changed behavior of some of the more'troublesome' Students in the school. Some had begun behaving like good kids while others have gotten rowdier than usual. DataSwipe notices that they were logging into a website called the Greater Good which is the cause of the baffling behavior. Can the PCs find out the cause of this alteration before therowdies get even rowdier and incite a riot at the school? and can they find out who's behind this site? is it TELIOS? BLACK HARLEQUIN? VIPER or is it someone else entirely?

heh.. Ok.. who's starblaze? You got me interested.
