  1. Re: Tales Of The Gold Monkey Agree with most of the assessments so far. A good show, just don't take it too seriously (it didn't). Had that 80's Action-comedy, Stephen Cannel (sp?) feel to it. You know, Hardcastle and McCormack, Riptide, Simon & Simon, Magnum P.I.esque. For good or bad, it almost collapsed under the weight of its pulp-era stereotypes. The reluctant hero(who was supposed to be an ex-Flyning Tigers pilot), the almost-human pet, the fish-out-of-water love interest, the kind-hearted mechanic that played the hero's conscience, the local bar owner who was an unashamadely direct ripoff of Claude Raines Capt. Renault from Casablanca, the dragon lady antagonist. It would make a very good tongue-in-cheek pulp game source.
  2. Re: A little help making an Ankylosaur figure... If you are using Hero-Clix, how about a Crimson Dynamo head? Looks like it would work well as a starting point.
  3. Re: Him, AGAIN? Assistance with Recurring Villain I actually had a character like this in my old campaign. Basic premise is he was a power armor guy who was a clinical sociopath. He had no conscience (sp?) and could not tell between right or wrong. Not necessarily evil, but had no compunctions about taking out an entire airplane to kill his target. He also had no qualms about causing MASSIVE collateral damage of the "NO ONE COULD SURVIVE THAT" variety. Players always assumed the powered armor was just able to withstand tons of punishment. The catch was, the character was also a mutant. His mutant ability? T-port of course. Since no one actually saw him disappear, and there was so much going on whenever he did, they never looked past the obvious. Also, since he was "just a normal" without his suit, when he was captured, he went to a normal prison, which he escaped from after an obligatory waiting period to not cause any suspicion. He was just assumed to be a high-tech spy guy, who used his skills to escape. Man, the players HATED this character, and were always on pins and needles when he showed up.
  4. Great topic guys! A lot of good stuff in here so far. Not really anything to do with specific powers but I just had to say that the Gorilla City episode had the best example of non-combat speed I have ever seen. When Flash is chasing down the van he catches up to it very quickly a couple of times but has difficulty overtaking them when he drops out of non-combat speed and brings his DCV up to full.
  5. The power of Cheese Okay, this may be going a little too far and you may have to get "GM's approval" but what about desolidification? Use it for the defensive powers and you have a guy walking out of a collapsing building brushing dust off of his sleeve:D Maybe make "Luck Based powers" affect him. Again, this would be VERY powerfull but it would be fun. Perhaps have it set up to cost tons of endurance so you could only use it in extreme circumstances ("Die at the hands of Dr. Destroyer! fzzzt. Wha- I just charged this suit!") or something that would not allow you to use it all the time. I would tend to avoid an activation roll unless you, yourself, is really lucky as the character will probably go splat when you blow this roll.
