Delta
This is my first time playing champions and I've got a concept for my character but I'm having a hard time figuring out the best way to go about building them. The concept for my character is based off the Guardian from the games Destiny 1 and 2 specifically trying to mix all the classes like you can in the lore. I am working with a 400 point build in 6th edition and the only thing I really know I can do so far is the Titans barricade. Any help and/or guidance would be greatly appreciated. assault
I've looked at a description of the source material. It looks like there are characters that specialise in nearly anything. I'd take that as my starting point, and not try to be able to do everything at first. Pick a character type and concentrate on that. That way your character will be good at doing one thing and not be terrible at everything. You can expand their abilities with experience. Delta
So I gave it some thought and decided on going the with the Gunslinger tree of the hunter class. I know that most of these abilities will be Fire based. I'm aware that I'm going need the Immortality Syndrome and its related powers, but I'm not quite sure how to do the jumping or the dodge ability that's signature to the Hunter class. I have the general idea of how to make the "Golden Gun" by taking the fire blast power with Multi-Fire option but I'm not sure if I need to take another power to make the gun or if it'll just be a cosmetic thing. assault
I'm not familiar with the details of your source material, but Leaping is a power. Dodging can be covered by Martial Arts or just by buying up your DCV. There is also whatever Missile Deflection is called these days. Mr. R
Quick lookover from Wikipedia gives me the following Dex at least 24 for the OCV and DCV Spd at least 5 maybe 6 (basic dodge is free uses an attack but gives you +3 to DCV) PD and ED 6-8 (you'll get armour as equipment) MP dagger with HKA and RKA (thrown blade) MP BIG FN GUN Here I'd deviate from source material and have slots with EB, Cone EB, Explosive EB, All from with charges (whether you want charges on the slots or on the MP is up to you) Set of Armour, at least 8pd 8 ed Maybe more. I can't comment on enhanced senses like IR vision or Night vision so I'll leave that to you Jump jets Super leap +10" (Assuming a str of 15 that means a 13" leap or 26 meters, adjust accordingly) Skills Adjust to taste but I suspect some sort of MA for those times when he runs out of bullets (Also MA dodge costs 5 pts but make your dodge +5) Complications I'll leave to you, but Sense of Duty seems appropriate
assault
At this point we have to ask what edition are you playing? Mr. R 's advice, while solid, could be confusing to a 6e player. In particular, his comments about Dex imply the existence of figured characteristics, which were eliminated in 6e. This is not meant to be a criticism of Mr. R. It's just that not everyone plays the same edition, and we don't edition war. This can sometimes lead to confusion.

Delta
Im not too sure what you mean by what Edition, but we are using the sixth edition just flat out. Don't have any special rules or nothing, the whole party is going to new to the system.
assault
We asked because there are major differences between 5e (and before) and 6e. My impression is that your character concept is actually quite simple. It's just that the language from the source you are drawing from is unfamiliar to us. It sounds like: your character has a Big Gun which can do various things, is agile (leaping, dodging...) and fairly tough. And a bit of other stuff, which is gravy. The basics are easy. Getting the flavour right is trickier.
