Y2KKILLER
I am trying to give my Character Experience point. So I enter the points in the experience points earned field; Then I go buy the Power/Characteristics I want, and the experience point spent field doesn't update. I tried to save Character to see if it updates after saving and there is no Change.... How do I get the XP Spent Field to Update ?
Simon
By spending all other available points - base points, disads, etc. It's simple bookkeeping.
Y2KKILLER
No, I figured it out (not simple Bookkeeping) and it wasn't simple to figure out; 2 different tabs are involved.... On the Basic info tab I had 250 PTs + 150 Disad Totaling 400; On The Characteristics Tab at the Bottom it said I had only spend 350 of the 400 points (under spent converting from 4th Ed to 5th); So when I entered my XP in the XP Box on the Basic Info Tab.. The XP remained 0 Spent Because I hadn't finished spending all my 400 Original points in order to begin using the 20 XP I had earned. Thank You for responding... Simon
That is exactly what I said - basic bookkeeping. You had not spent the base points + disads (also shown on the basic info tab, along with the experience). No need to spend XP when you have points available. Y2KKILLER
Ultimately Yes, I guess. But, I was asking more about Procedurally How come it was working... Procedurally I wasn't using the TABs properly to gather the needed information as to WHY it wasn't tabulating correctly... I have every confidence in your software at this time.... using it and understanding it take a higher level of figuring out.... User Error... Thanks
Simon
The information on points spent is on virtually every tab...including (and especially) the basic info tab.
Y2KKILLER
Ahhhhhh!! Now that you mention that tid-bit... Yes... I see that... Mmmmm I like that....Sweet!! What other Software Packages will Accept your HTML file for Printing? The HTML Review Pages are not page Breaking Properly.... I'd like to see them printed out with Page Breaks... Simon
If you're talking about html export formats, they can be read by any application that reads/understands HTML...that’s kind of the point. Specific formatting (page breaks, font sizes, etc) are entirely dependent on the export format chosen.
Y2KKILLER
The Software Saves it as an HDC file, where when you export it saves at as HTML or HTM.... Word, and Adobe (even Excel) do not like the HDC Files... and the HTML File Format is hard to work with in Word, Excel, and Adobe...
Simon
I have no idea what you're on about. Please read the friendly manual - I think you have some very fundamental misunderstandings about...well, a lot of things, actually.
HeroGM
If you want to use the exports for Word you need to find a good RTF one in the downloads that you like. HDC is read by Hero Designer (Hero Designer Character). It uses a Hero Designer Export file (HDE) to do it in the file format you want; .html, .rtf, etc. It's not meant to be used AS the printing file.
