Ndreare
I have a Character that specialises in Elemental Magic. So I made these little Elemental Minnions for him to summon on casual occasiions like getting fire wood and setting up camp. Would you allow them for a player? He is a 150 point character so he is not allowed to have followers or summons that are higher than his own point value. What do you think would you allow it, would you change it, or would you leave it? Blue Jogger
I would probably allow it, but with the following warnings. 1) Air Daggers and Jetstreams are powerful attacks against townfolks. The problem with charges is if it is easy to summon a replacement or an entire army, it becomes meaningless. The 10 DEX means that it isn't going to be used on anyone skilled, but it's invisible. So it is probably going to stay back 3" and throw attacks. 2) Air Shield does not need charges and Reduced END.
Ghost who Walks
Since his owner summoned him, there may be a limit on the distance he can be way from his summoner. (Power points *5 in hexes or something). This would prevent obvious abuse,: using the servant to: 1) Scout out the defenses of the King's castle 2) Steal the key to the King's treasure vault 3) Quietly murder the King, while he sleeps 4) Carry off the King's crown, and the treasure vault key, sell to ambitious junior noble 5) repeat as needed Not accusing your players of planing to do this, of course. Ndreare
Your Rite I guess the limitation of Charges would not be apropriate on the elemental blast. I also forgot that I should have givven the Life Support power to the character.
Outsider
Any king in a fantasy game who leaves himself wide open ot magical attack deserves to be murdered in his sleep, IMO. One also has to remember that whomever the magicial sells the crown to KNOWS that this magician is willing to off kings for money. Having that reputation with a monarch doesnt extend the magician's lifespan any.
