Guest Veavitdpoh
Re: WWYCD? #113: What If God Was One Of Us? Insert feature movie about Ian fixing everything and healing everything, then setting himself as wildly successful and rich and powerful, then learning through the second act that this is not all it's cracked up to be, learning of the power of boredom and the expectations of those around you concerning the rich and powerful, and finally the third act wherein disastrous consequences begin cropping up as his decisions all pile up like a train wreck, followed by many reverse-time special effects as he rewinds. Denouement, as the prior-Ian wrests away the glove, and the power-Ian overwrites prior-Ian - who promptly destroys the jewels before anything can be changed, leaving Ian wiser and reality exactly the way it was. "Things aren't meant to be changed. Things just are." Credits roll, win an Oscar.
Supreme
Re: WWYCD? #113: What If God Was One Of Us? Pretty much any character I've ever played would destroy the glove. Champion (my version, a cross between Superman and Captain Marvel) fought the Axis and would understand the pitfalls of having too much power. Freedom Fighter would destroy it because he wants to run his business (and R&D Engineering firm) not rule the world.
Jinx999
Re: WWYCD? #113: What If God Was One Of Us? Raven - Would try to fix the damage, she really doesn't like it when innocents get hurt. However, apart from that she isn't very nice. Any villians that have managed to seriously piss her off (primarily Eurostar, Demon and Dark Seraph) are going to (probably) die. She'd also do some research into her own part and discover if her old teacher was messing with her. The problem is that she really wouldn't want to give up that power. She hates feeling helpless The Gentleman - The character concept was Bertie Wooster with superpowers. This could get BAD.
Katherine
Re: WWYCD? #113: What If God Was One Of Us? Menagerie:The world has a new God Empress. Purity and other anti mutant groups would have a very bad day and humanity would be subjegated and shown its place, firmly under mutantkind's boot. Menagerie would install herself as ruler, make herself immortal and live experimenting with glove to find the limits (if any) of its power. Stopwatch would blanche at the sheer responisbility, likely fix things and restore people to life, play around with it a little then decide once the trouble started settling in (people looking to take it, petitioning her, etc) that it wasn't worth it, boost her powers and her friends, erase the incident from the collective minds of the universe and disperse the glove. Pinniacle would fix the damage, heal the injured, imprison from mega villians and then disperse the glove. She realizes power corrupts and even her "good" impulses when she think about them scare her a little (remove the capacity for evil from all Humanity, for example). She would, somewhat guiltly, stabilize her growth powers so they didn't take her much mentally as a "gift" to her self and give Gearhead the ability to walk without his Power Armor. JeffreyWKramer
Re: WWYCD? #113: What If God Was One Of Us? Would she consider using the power of the Glove to make everyone mutants? Especially Foxbat. He'd like to gain great mental powers, so he could become Professor X-Bat!
Katherine
Re: WWYCD? #113: What If God Was One Of Us? Nah, make baselines into mutants when they didn't earn it? (Ignore the fact that mutatation is purely random genetic fluke, of course. Zealot often equals hypocrite). She might hold a tournament of sorts where baselines could fight for the "honor" of being uplifted to mutant status, for kicks later on.
