ParitySoul
I'm debating a number of different games/genres to run here soon. One of them is a merc game with players set in a Terran Empire type setting. What I'm curious about is ideas for a few good intro session while the players/specialist get use to the lower power setting the Dark Champions style play. Any ideas? freakboy6117
Re: A-Team in Space: Merc Campaign. I guess it depends what kind of mercs you would be More cyberpunk corp. sponsored activity IE corporate espionage deniable assaults on the competitions assets to lower there share price, protecting corporate assets, sneakers style testing of security systems. Deniable ops for a military force, (recon, assault against nonaligned forces, deep infiltration) Or you could do Magnificent 7 style protecting moisture farmers on a backwater planet I guess you could always look at the kind of work Targon's Toughs (although there kind of high end) get over at schlock mercenary
ParitySoul
Re: A-Team in Space: Merc Campaign. I was thinking that webcomic...problem is they get a little over the top for my tastes.
freakboy6117
Re: A-Team in Space: Merc Campaign. I guess its kinds of depends on your team and there make up firefly might be a good source though most of there jobs were more criminal than mercenary. But for small groups theft, recon and sabotage are probably the operations you want to be doing. If the team has access to their own ship blockade running/smuggling are also options. Alternatively for small groups close protection guarding key individuals getting them to locations or working security for cargo ships etc might be an option. Chiba Bob
Re: A-Team in Space: Merc Campaign. Would not the A-Team in space be a fugitive campaign? The "A" typical A-Team adventure usually involved them running into situations were their sense of duty, honor and justice lead them to help the locals while being hunted by the military (on a 14- or less) .
