Actually I believe it was "Why choose the lesser of two evils?" Then again I'm a pedant Personally I'm with Mae West "When faced with a decision between two evils I choose the one I haven't tried yet" Which in politics would be "Always vote against the incumbant and for a person whose not seeking re-election".
