Twilight
Out of curiousity, has anybody fleshed out the various members of VMS-Alpha, aside from Kevin Armstrong? Do you play them as really badass fire support for Armstrong or do you actually flesh out the members of the team? For that matter, how many members do you usually have on VMS-Alpha if you actually use them? How tough are they when you actually DO use them? I'm intensely curious about this, also if I ever get around to running a game VIPER would be a powerful force in it and I'd use VMS-Alpha at somepoint. GestaltBennie
Re: VMS-Alpha Well, the write-up for VMS-Alpha didn't make it into the book. The team was meant to parallel the VF-2 characters in the 1993 VIPER book (to go with Armstrong/VIPER-X), but at agent level (though, if the GM wishes. they could always be one radiation accident away from becoming a full-fledged superteam). The other members are: Tom "Maximum Force" Warner (Flight Command/Scarlet Serpent packages) Robert "Black Lion" Belinga (Air Cavalry and Red Guard packages) Ellen "Madame Blue" Hart (Air Cavalry and Athame packages) Scott "Cavalry" Pederson (Vehicle Specialist package) Yamuna "Smoke" Khanna (Night-Ops Specialist package) There's more, of course, but this should give you a functioning team. And of course, some future author may decide to change the details, so bear in mind that this isn't canon.

They were one of my favourite teams in 4th Edition Champions. Definetly better then my idea, which was Armstrong, a couple comic clones [Deathstroke, Deadshot and Bullseye to be precise] and an evil Rambo. Metaphysician
Re: VMS-Alpha Yeah, my guess is, take buff starting characteristics, add a few templates, than fill out with better than typical skills and equipment. Basically, VMS-Alpha operatives should be best-of-the-(non super)best.
