Dust Raven
Re: Limited Life Support What about Drains? Do you use the 4th ed. rules for Draining Body' date=' Stun, and End, where the Fade Rate doesn't apply because you have natural Recovery?[/quote'] I an unaware of such a rule, so I guess I didn't/don't use it. Adjustment Powers move the Active Points, not the effective points (though the effictive points get shifted automatically when the Active Points are). Fox1
Re: Limited Life Support The LS with Side Effect? I looks like a good idea except I'd probably make it a Variable Limitation (only Side Effects)' date=' that way you (rather, the GM) can taylor the Side Effect to match the attack/effect.[/quote'] You can do that, but I dont' really think it's necessary and will result in math calculations in the middle of a game. The stock mostly stun with a little body I gave is meant not to represent the attack as such (which the character is immune to due to his LS) but rather the effect on his body of fighting it off. prestidigitator
Re: Limited Life Support Looks like you did miss it, my second suggestion didn't have healing/Regeneration as part of it at all. No extra point cost from anything in fact. Extra Time likely wouldn't work since it's subject to being interrupted (the book claims all such powers must be subject to interruption) and I don't think we want that here. Oh. I'm sorry. I thought that was the one to which you were referring. I liked the Side Effects idea a bit. I think it is a valid approach as well, but may not be what the player wanted. If he truly wanted to suffer the actual affects of the condition, and have them gradually fade and recover, I suppose that could still be done with Side Effects, but Gradual Effect just seems to me to be the more straightforward and simple means of doing so. P.S. - Did you even ask Steve Long what he thought? If so, could you quote the answer here? I'm sure it would be interesting.

I don't think you need it to be variable just to say you suffer the applicable symptoms. However, since you know pretty well the exact Side Effects, their strength, and their duration, I'd say it would probably be the reduced value of the Limitation (the same reduction in the Limitation as if you took Standard Effect on a damage Side Effect).
