Re: Gemini Ascendant Campaign

How many sessions do you estimate it would take to finish out the FH scenario?
Tough one. As written, we can pause and come back to it at any time. I sor tof intended the fantasy hero storyline to start gradually taking over so when the Gemini Ascendant story was wrapped up, we already have the alternate campaign on deck.

So to answer your question, we can easily pause here and come back to it later.

Re: Gemini Ascendant Campaign

Talked to Merovign on the phone earlier. He was absolutely adamant that we do whatever. :D

So, I am going to do both. :P

Here is our schedule;

September 4, 2008: Gemini Ascendant

September 11, 2008: Gemini Ascendant

September 18, 2008: Turakian Age

September 25: 2008: Off (family time day since I am down to one day off a week)

October 2, 2008: Gemini Ascendant

October 9, 2008: Gemini Ascendant

October 16, 2008: Turakian Age

October 23, 2008: Turakian Age

October 30, 2008: Turakian Age (should wrap up an arc about this time)

November 6, 2008: Gemini Ascendant

November 13, 2008: Gemini Ascendant

November 20, 2008: Gemini Ascendant

November 27, 2008: Off - Thanksgiving Day. Turkey. Yumm.

December 4, 2008: Gemini Ascendant

December 11, 2008: Gemini Ascendant

December 18, 2008: Gemini Ascendant (projected season finale)

December 25: Off - Christmas Day. Enjoying swag.
;)

January 1, 2009: Off - New Years Day. Y'all be hung over anyway.
:D

Disclaimer: This is a tentative schedule at this point. If we are on a roll or not at a convenient stopping place when it is time to switch games, I reserve the right to change things up. As always, player actions dictate when the season ends more than an artificial calendar, so projected story arc completions and season finales are just benchmarks I hope to be at. Games will be run, rain or shine, unless I am dead, too sick to reach the keyboard, or making extra money.

See ya on the 4th.

Re: Gemini Ascendant Campaign

Sept 18th - I will be in Rhode Island visiting my Mom. However, like the last time I was there I may be able to hop online and play, since it's in Eastern Time the game starts late enough that we'll probably be done with whatever for the day and I can hop online worry free. Or, you know, the Knight is unavailable for comment. . .

Re: Gemini Ascendant Campaign

Oh yeah... just FYI

And please do NOT construe this to mean I think we should start with the musical programs again... this is just information against possible future use, IF the app becomes more stable...

MT 1.3b40 Finally added Init tool into an internal panel, and the app has gained some very advanced scripting capabilities that support "if" "or" and variables. You can also create variables that hold formulas, and dice which can be called from within macros. You can also create a macro and then propogate those macros over to other tokens. There are some folks that have begun working on creating macro libaries, so that we can access premade macros that can be added directly to tokens. There are some new script capabilities that we can use to have MT calculate current Body, STUN, END, Charges, ETC and ... we can set macros to Heal those stats (recovery) and MT will stop the REC once the Stat reaches its Max value.

Of course the bad part is that there are still rampant reports of connection problems, campaign file corruptions, etc... So I am firmly in the camp of watching to see the improvements but stay with what we have for the foreseeable future until or if the MT team solves the connection, and corruption issues.

Overall though exciting stuff :D

And I'm sticking to OpenRPG until Solron can figure out why his router doesn't like Java.

Well all I can say is "Starwolf gave it to me ,it's his fault" . Oops sorry bro!

As for games I would like to play Gemini is number one. I want to see Ta evolve. Besides Sam is dead.

Re: Gemini Ascendant Campaign

Nice !!!

as to the question... it depends. Are you taking Wade? Thats the difference between heaven and hell. I'll leave it up to you to decide whether taking Wade means heaven or hell :D

I'm pretty sure taking Wade means following Icarus. . .
Yes, except that the Sun would have frickin' lasers shooting out at you.

Re: Gemini Ascendant Campaign

It is Thursday, September 4th, 2008. Game day in the City of Angels. Wait! Wrong genre. ;)

Anyway, I am in the Gemini Ascendant server and despite the tragic loss of my entire Game Tree ( ) ready to go. Luckily I had nothing in there that can't be replaced with hours and hours if diligent hard work. Mostly rewriting Dice Macros. :nonp:

I will need replacement Character Nodes. Other than that, I'm good. See you tonight.

Re: Gemini Ascendant Campaign

This has been a busy week.

Last Friday, my son was run over coming home from school. Like me, thankfully, he is virtually indestructible. Though he looks like he went five rounds with a rabid badger, most of his injuries were rather less than severe. He does have a broken collarbone to deal with, but even that is only a hairline fracture.

He made me proud that day. As I am told by witnesses and doctors and police officers and such, he never really cried and faced the whole ordeal with a matter of fact attitude that I wish I could see more of in adults.

I wish I could have been as brave. When my wife got the call, she reacted as I would expect a mother to; she ran straight to the scene and neglected to wake me up. That chore went to my daughter who also found out about it second-hand. She was in a panic when she woke me up about an hour after my son had been transported to UC Davis medical center. Sad to say, but I broke down. I think I was in shock for about an hour. It was so bad that I couldn't even remember how to get to UCD and I had driven through that neighborhood about 100 times in the last six years or so.

After my neighbor dropped me off, I got better. My son was getting stitched up in the ER, but was basically ambulatory and alert. We talked for a while and I felt better.

He went back to school on Tuesday.

So, if you folks are of a forgiving mood, I'm going to take tomorrow off and spend with my family. It will be the first chance I've had to hang out with my boy since the accident.

Talk to you soon.

Re: Gemini Ascendant Campaign

Let me star by saying I hope the boy is well. IMHO you do enough for us with your great GMing, Terrie and I would be mad if we found that you didn't take time for your family in this situation, they should always come first. Best wishes...

So in lieu of a game Jim and I spent about 2 hours loading and testing MT. we have eliminated his router as the cause. I set up a server and Tim, through the same router, was able to connect with no problem. Yet on Jims Dell he gets an I/O Java Error: Sesssion Reset message. And on His wifes E-Machine he gets the connecting screen and then everything locks, MT never connects to the server. All three machines are connected through the same router and all three have net connectivity (Jim was able to get to various websites from both machines). We tried uninstalling, redownloading, and re-installing Java and MT, with no results. Both machines are running XP SP3. His wife's machine used to be able to make the MT connection. It used to be mine and was the machine I used durng our first year and a half of gaming as a group. Since we eliminated my server and his router as the cause, but found no solution, I posted our test results and parameters to the MT forum. Perhaps Trevor or one of the other Devs can help us figure it out.

Re: Gemini Ascendant Campaign

Hmm... I hadn't considered that. Would some be able to connect while others not if I have a dynamic IP address? And if so should I setup/get a static IP address ( I am not sure if I would need to buy a statis IP from my ISP or if I already have one as I am a broadband cable subscriber). If that proves to be the case then this could be more of a server issue than a client issue...
