Daeger
Re: Help me finish a character? Hmm.. I could change my 2-point invesments into Sweep into 3 points that encompass Sweep, Missile Deflection, and something else.
Daeger
Re: Help me finish a character? Alright, what I ended up doing is changing my 2 point investments into CSL into 3 points so I can include Missile Deflection as a category, and I have a third undecided. The GM was nice enough to award me with the XP from the game I missed since he didn't tell me about it, and I got my VPP up to 15 points. CraterMaker
Re: Help me finish a character? In the spirit of overkill, how about Find Weakness with Haymaker? You could probably crack a small spaceship in half with that... Invisability to sight, 0dcv concentrate- a chameleon like effect +5 w/ missile deflect is good, too.. +2 w/ hth combat Or +5 con - For a big nasty you're still pretty easy to k.o.... +5 con would go a long way towards pushing that off... Or even better, save it and tell the GM you'll spend it on skills that people teach you.. Since you're a blank slate, you'd probly absorb like a sponge anything taught to you, at least right at first... Any chance of you posting the other players characters? It's obviously not a run of the mill game- keep us updated on what happens. -CraterMaker
Hugh Neilson
Re: Help me finish a character? Your VPP can presently only be changed during "down time", not on the fly. If you anticipate being able to, say, develop gills in a half phase when you need to breathe water, you should consider buying the "No skill roll to change" advantage on the VPP control cost. The other approach is a Power Skill, but this would likely be even more costly given the low pool, and therefore low cost of eliminating the skill roll. There is an error in your Supernatural Adrenaline power. Only the Recovery should be limited by the Personal Recovery limitation. It doesn't change the cost of the END pool itself (as it doesn't limit the END, only the REC). I echo the comments that, for a HTH specialist, he's pretty easy to take down - CON and STUN are pretty low, and the first time those Ablative defenses fail, he's pretty much certain to be Stunned and very likely KO'd. Always On wouldn't commonly be a limitation on Extra Limbs (the main disadvantage is his appearance, which is covered by DF). That's only 1 point. I'd expect to be faced with similar opponents over time, given his creators are hunting him and he's pretty tough to keep secret. You may want to start thinking about how you and your teammates would deal with one or more similar experiments attacking you...probably using nets or such to take advantage of your Restrainable limitation. Thank you for bringing it to my attention, I'll try to tack on the No Skill Roll Required advantage so I can use it in combat. There is an error in your Supernatural Adrenaline power. Only the Recovery should be limited by the Personal Recovery limitation. It doesn't change the cost of the END pool itself (as it doesn't limit the END, only the REC). I know. There's a second limitation for limiting endurance to where powers can't draw upon it while I'm knocked out, but I just kept Personal REC on both for simplicity sake. I made sure it was alright with the GM. I echo the comments that, for a HTH specialist, he's pretty easy to take down - CON and STUN are pretty low, and the first time those Ablative defenses fail, he's pretty much certain to be Stunned and very likely KO'd. Okay, you try building the perfect character then. That's not what I was going for.
Daeger
Re: Help me finish a character? Updated my sheet with a couple corrections, also 9 XP. He gave us double for the first session and was nice enough to give me the XP even though I couldn't play anyhow. Second session we got 3. Demon_Hound
Re: Help me finish a character? On the design front, if anyone wants to post "fresh" character concepts, or even a new twist on the traditional older edition heroes /villians, it would greatly re-fresh the thread. I have a couple of ideas I'm working on, that I'll post shortly... Hopefully, when I can sort out a "cut a paste" for the .hrt format to text format... Hyper-Man
Re: Help me finish a character? Some of the limitations you have taken are either extremely debilitating or don't limit the powers at all (ex: stop working when mentalist stunned is not really valid on movement powers since they already behave that way). Here is a 350 point 'Marvel-Girlish' mentalist I made a few years ago: I-Mind

No problem. I'll just do a re-edit. Thanks for the input.
