gojira
What would be the value of a limitation, Linked to attack X, Attack X must do body? Is that one limitation? Or two? -1/2, or the full -1? Thanks for help and opinions!
SCUBA Hero
Re: Linked to attack, must do body From published Powers, it's two Limitations - Linked (-1/2) and KA Must Do Body. Unfortunately, I'm on the road so IDHMBIFOM, and I don't remember the value for that Limitation. Look at any animal that has a poison attack for a writeup. braincraft
Re: Linked to attack, must do body Depends on how likely the attack is to do BODY. A 1/2d6K in a supers campaign? Probably something like -1 or worse. An 8d6K AP Penetrating in a survival horror game? I might not even give it a limitation.
Vondy
Re: Linked to attack, must do body What genre is it? How often do people take body damage in the game? If its common its probably not worth more than -1/4. As it gets more rare it would become a greater limitation. An average superheroic setting might merit -1. Its campaign dependendent. gojira
Re: Linked to attack, must do body I'm converting some stuff for Susano. Check out the Venom power on the Wyvern: http://surbrook.devermore.net/adaptationscreatures/myth/dragons/wyvern.html I'm just trying to make sure the builds I'm doing are current and correct. It's linked to the Tail power, which is a 2d6 HKA with AP. But most of Michael's Venom powers aren't linked to an attack that's quite so nasty. Usually it's more around 1 to 2d6 HKA, nothing else. Sometimes as low as 1 pip (but the one pip critter has PSL for targeting areas of the body, ouch). So campaign is up in the air. Generic fantasy I guess. Pick a typical adventurer, maybe add half again XP before they face a Wyvern, take your best guess. I don't even have Fantasy Hero, but I'm guessing less than 7 points of resistant defenses on the front line fighters. Unless it's fairly high magic. So it looks like the canonical way of doing it is two lims, -1/2 each, just like he has it, yes?
