Mark Rand
I'm moving Witch Way. Instead of Atwood Street, it'll be Murray Avenue, in Squirrel Hill, the hub of Pittsburgh's Jewish community, between Wilkins Avenue, it's northern terminus, and Forbes Avenue. The commercial districts are Forbes Avenue between Murray and Shady Avenues, Murray Avenue between Forbes and Forward Avenues, and Murray Avenue between Lilac Street and Hazelwood Avenue, its southern terminus. The cross streets along Witch Way, from north to south, are Solway Street, Woodmont Street (west side only), Northumberland Street, Ferree Street (east side only), Aylesboro Avenue, and Marlborough Road (east side only). The Squirrel Hill branch of the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh is above the bank on Murray Avenue between Forbes and Marlborough. A church is across Murray from the library. The Jewish Community Center is across Forbes from the church. The superhero team's base, which is based on Halliwell Manor, is on Murray between Solway and Woodmont. Mark Rand
Re: Witch Way redux Not everyone on Witch Way is involved in magic and some of the magic people are close to it instead of on it. Although the neighborhood is considered residential, some offices and stores are on the first floors of houses. Katrina, a witch who trains cats as familiars after getting them from animal shelters, lives on Ferree Street, which runs 3/4 block, before dead ending into Asbury Place, which runs between Northumberland Street and Aylesboro Avenue. A doctor, who doesn't mind using non-traditional methods, has her practice on the first floor of a house on the corner of Northumberland and Murray. Her mother, a fortune teller, has the house next door. Both are gypsies. Aaron, the Jewish occult book seller, is across Northumberland from them. Mark Rand
Re: Witch Way redux nice Thank you. B/G (a coffee shop chain), Palmer's (a casual dining restaurant chain), and George Aiken's (a cafeteria-style restaurant chain) were all well known in Pittsburgh. In the campaign, they are still in existence. There would be a B/G and a Palmer's on Forbes and the local George Aiken's would be on Bartlett and Murray, in the first floor of the Born Building, where it actually was. B/G was the inspiration for the Beth's Coffee Shop chain. Edit: added stuff in italics

Mark Rand
Re: Witch Way redux All good stuff' date=' Mark [/quote'] Thank you. Murray Avenue is neither straight nor level. It's fairly level between Wilkins and Beacon. After that, it goes down hill until it comes to the intersection of Forward and Murray Avenues, and Pocusset Street. At that light, Murray is green first, then the eastern part of Forward, which carries the Blue Belt from Shady Avenue to Murray Avenue, and Pocusset Street, which comes in from the west. The last light of the three is the part of Forward that goes southwest and links up with I-376 (U.S. 23/30 East) and Beechwood Boulevard. After that intersection, it bends, and climbs again, going over the western portal of the Squirrel Hill Tubes by Morrowfield Avenue, where it levels off . The next block is Burchfield Avenue. Following that, a bridge carries Murray Avenue over I-376 and Beechwood Boulevard. From there, it stays fairly level to its southern terminus at Hazelwood Avenue. Mark Rand
Re: Witch Way redux Before we continue, let's take a good look at Witch Way. Basically, it's the part of a city street that the local superhero team's base is on. The area, which is residential, gets that name because a number of people involved with the occult live on or near it. The nearby commercial area also has some occult aspects. Maybe Marie Anderson, the team's housekeeper, is a white witch and her seal-point Siamese cat, Isis, is her familiar. The sexton of the local house of worship might've used magic to befriend the female falcon that nests on the building's roof.
