Odraude
So I was building a pyrokinetic with Telekinesis and realized that it doesn't take much strength to lift up fire with TK. I had figured that I could change STR for TK from lift a weight to lifting a volume, but some of the volumes dont seem too right. So how would I quantify Strength with Pyrokinesis? CrosshairCollie
Re: Pyrokinesis and TK Strength Every 5 points of TK Strength is 1 Damage Class of fire you can move around and manipulate. So, for example, with 30 STR Pyrokinesis, you can manipulate a 2d6KA fire source.
Odraude
Re: Pyrokinesis and TK Strength That is a good one but it doesn't really show how much fire I can control. Like trying to control a small flame or a raging inferno.

Like trying to control a small flame or a raging inferno. It depends on how intense and hot (aka damaging) the fire is. Using the 30 STR example above, you could manipulate 3 hexes of 1/2d6 RKA fires, or one hex of 2d6 KA fires, or whatever up to a total of 6 DC. Do you need AOE to manipulate multiple hexes of fire?
nexus
Re: Pyrokinesis and TK Strength Me either, honestly and I've never really liked the concept. It feels...kludgy.
Shaft
Re: Pyrokinesis and TK Strength Villainy Amok has an entire chapter devoted to Fire and how it is defined in HERO terms. It's one of the better supplements and worth checking out.
bigbywolfe
Re: Pyrokinesis and TK Strength This thread had a 4 page discussion on using TK for fire control, the pros, cons, other options, etc. Check it out and see if it helps you figure out what will work in your game. http://www.herogames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=68536
