new advantage im playing with

Stunt power: this advantage allows a character to convert one power into another power this can not change the special effect so a Ice power is still an ice power nor can it add or take away advantages and limitations the points converted are the base power points only. Cost determines what percentage of points are converted 25% is a ¼ advantage 50% is ½ 75% ¾ and 100 is +1 advantage for an added ¼ you can pull from 1 different power category for 1 up to 4 power category

 

 

example: zephyr is a speedster who's powers are defined as running she decided her character can use her running power to some extent anywhere so she buys this advantage at 50% now she can run 60 (120pts not including and modifiers) swim 60(60pts no mod) even fly 30(60 points no mod) her total base cost would be 180pts

 

 

example 2: payload is a blaster with far above average skill in his power from his years at mutant U so he buys his power with the 50% option and buys 2 extra power categories +1 advantage so with all of this killing attack 8d6 create a force wall 12def and due to his advantage he can even fly total cost 240 pts

 

 

what do you all think is there potential?

Multipowers and Variable Power Pools exist to allow for this kind of flexibility. Is there a reason they fail to meet your needs?

For 180 points, she could have a 60 point VPP, Cosmic (+2), Movement Powers only (say -1, which seems conservative) for 105 and buy +30" Running for 60, leaving 15 points extra to spend on other things. She can run 60, fly 30, swim 60, teleport and tunnel to her heart's content.

For 240 points, he can buy a 120 point VPP, Cosmic, with a -1/2 SFX limitation and have an 8d6 KA, a 24 DEF force wall or fly twice as fast, plus choose powers from other power categories.
