Sean Waters
Re: 6Ed Character Sheet? I am SO interested in this process - the character sheet is the GUI for the player to the system. I have been playing about with designer character sheets so that there is a working sheet for designing and building the character and a playing sheet - something that draws on genre aspects to make the character sheet more evocative of the GAME that you are playing rather than the SYSTEM being used to play that game. Doc Might have known design would bring you out of hiding Nice to see you Sean
Sean Waters
Re: 6Ed Character Sheet? A friend of mine (Jagged - posts here occasionally) has a character sheet format that folds, like a greetings card, with the front dedicated to a character picture. It is good because they can be stood up to display the character when not actually in use and it is a really neat visual rep which adds to the flavour of the game. I like your folding sheet, StG. Also repped. As I use HD now I almost always use a HD character sheet, but I agree with Doc D that a properly designed character sheet can really add tot eh role playing experience: it is the interface between the character and the world out here. TechnoViking
Re: 6Ed Character Sheet? Thanks everyone for their feedback, fixed some more formatting errors and brown bag errors. You can find version 0.2 at http://www.mikesplanet.net/hero. I doubt if I will change much more on the spreadsheets till I get a chance to play 6th edition Hero . Utility is the important in a character sheet to me. I need to find what I want when I want it. As for character pictures, it would make sense to me for that to be a separate item that you also have displayed in front of you. That would also save folding and unfolding the sheet.
