Susano
There are thousands of UFO, Big Foot or other cryptozoological sightings recorded around the world every year, and most of them can easily be proven as fakes or the ramblings of some mad-man. Yet, among these absurdities there are some rare events which simply have no explanation, and leave even skeptics puzzled. Here are six of the most peculiar mysteries that no one can find a good explanation for. Of course, some of these "mysteries" might not be, but as this is the Pulp era, one must never let the facts get in the way of a good adventure! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Valentich_disappearance#Search_and_rescue http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bimini_Road http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marfa_lights http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/D._B._Cooper http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shag_Harbour_UFO_incident
Cancer
Re: 6 Bizarre Mysteries (That Are Still Totally Unanswered) The smart money is betting D. B. Cooper didn't survive his jump from the jet, though the body hasn't been found. However, one of the bags with money he had has been recovered, found not that long ago in the forest along the jet's flight path.

Cancer
Re: 6 Bizarre Mysteries (That Are Still Totally Unanswered) Until that bag was found, I actually was rooting for him to have made it and be living quietly and happily somewhere. At the time, it was a breathtakingly new idea. But when a bunch of his cash was found rotting in the woods, the chances of a happy outcome for D.B. go way down. I built a character once with no income, but who'd found Cooper's money deep in the forest, so he had an initial grubstake with which to buy some of the odd things he had. Badger
Re: 6 Bizarre Mysteries (That Are Still Totally Unanswered) Well, I did think of a couple of reason why he might have left it behind. Though, since he didnt come back for it, indicates he couldnt. THough, since the bulk of it still isnt found. I guess, maybe he could've dropped it, somehow. If you lose a small portion, it might not be wise to stay in the area looking for a small amount when you are being highly sought after*. Extremely, extremely unlikely (and I cant think of a way he might have lost a portion other than during descent) but it could open up story possibilities. ANyhow, I'd say the fact none of the money was found later in circulation (since they put the serial numbers in the database, right?) would be a firmer indication of him being deceased, than finding 3% of the money. * If I lose $6000 out of approx. $200000 that I stole. I might just go with $194,000, and let the rest stay lost.
