Re: B1 Battle Droid for Hero 4th.

Is that... Heromaker? That brings back some memories :)

Looks pretty good. A couple of comments:

  • I never pictured the battle droids as being very strong - they didn't appear to be stronger than the average human to me, but maybe I missed something.
  • I wouldn't have thought they had swimming - they don't look like they would float well
  • I like the binary language - only able to understand, not speak seems to me like it would be -1, but I'm not sure.

Well done.

I was considering removing the swimming all together. It's only listed because it's 0 END.

The stats from the Saga Star Wars RPG has them having slightly above base line human STR. As skinny as they are they are mechanical.

I would highly recommend "Does not Bleed" 15pts and also "Cannot be Stunned" 15pts from 4eChampions pg 180

Yeah the Battle droids should be a bit stronger than a Human. They probably should have specialist packages for Ground troops, Command post droids, etc.

Re: B1 Battle Droid for Hero 4th.

I could see them having "hydralic leaks" and seem to get their circuity scrambled then reset, so I could see bleeding and stun.

I did remove the swimming and changed the price of the limitation on his language as suggested.

I just did a bigger version as the "Battle Droid AAT" Transformer toy. It's much like his little brother, but 30 feet tall with more weapons and can turn into a hover tank!

Has anyone converted a basic Clone Trooper or Storm Trooper?

Unfortunatly none of the source material supports that they bleed even hydraulic fluid. The jedi cut them apart quite often in both the movies and in the Clone Wars cartoons. They spark a bit and do a melty bit where they were hit, but no bleeding.

Not being able to be stunned I could go either way on.

"Bleeding" doesn't necessarily mean "leaking fluid". It just means that when the character is damaged . . . they can take further damage. Maybe it's something shorting out or cascading systems failures or something. Electrical fires? Draining power?

Heh - that's pretty funny. Watching that just angers me with how badly Lucas blew that one. I'd actually forgotten how most of the damage done to the battle droid army was done by accident. Then later in the film Anakin accidentally takes out the command ship. What the h*** was Lucas thinking?
